"Brilliant Hol, going again!"
Wonderful property with everything you need to have a comfortable stay, maintained to a high standard. The owners are very welcoming, ask if you need or want to know anything! Owners will cook wonderful meals on request. Good location with beautiful lake 5 minutes by car We had both teenagers and young children who made use of pool and games provided but would suit couples as well. Will visit again.

"Excellence comes a standard!"
I've stayed at many French gites over many years. Les Casaniers is, without doubt, the best. My wife discovered Les Casaniers online, and booked us into La Petite Maison as a birthday gift for me, as Tony & Doreen (gite owners) provide field-archery facilities. We so enjoyed our stay that we then block-booked both gites (La Petite Maison and La Grange) to arrange a group visit for archery pals. We all had a wonderful time. Whether or not you are interested in archery, Les Casaniers is the perfect gite base for a stay in the beautiful Dordogne. Both gites are superbly equipped - right down to details like private swimming pools, an extensive range of games and sporting equipment, baby-baths, and a fleet of bicycles for ambling around the local lanes. If you are interested in archery, Tony provides coaching and introductions to shooting at local clubs. If archery is not your thing, Doreen can arrange horse-riding, fishing, and a host of other activities. Those activities include the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent ferme-auberge seven-course meal at nearby Ferme de Panivol. This is something that you MUST do! Meanwhile, for those who want to eat at home, both gites are superbly equipped with kitchens that any celebrity chef would love - and with the ultimate in BBQ facilities. Just down the road, in St Estephe, is an excellent boulangerie: you can walk, cycle, or drive down to get your morning bread and croissants. While you're there, you'll notice the big lake, with its nature-walks, tennis courts, and free use of boats. In a nutshell, Les Casaniers provides two magnificent gites in a wonderful setting - supported by the fact that Tony & Doreen live right next door, and are always keen to help make your stay memorable.
