Description

The apartment is on the 5th floor with lift on a tree lined Avenue in one of the most sought areas of Nice. The Balcony is the feature of this wonderful apartment, which wraps around the flat with far reaching views of Nice and up to the hills behind Nice and Mont Boron, also within 5 minutes walk of Ave Jean Medecin, Top of Old Nice and easy reach of Cimiez.

A perfect setting for coffee & croissants or champagne breakfast and relaxing in the evening with a bottle of wine after a days sightseeing and taking in the views and watch the sun set. (try to spot some of the celebrity's houses!) The sun rises on one side of the balcony towards Mont Boron and in the afternoon the front of the balcony is sunny with beautiful views and sunsets.

There is so much to do it would take more than 1 visit to see all that Nice & the Cote d' Azur have to offer. If you do not want to venture to far the flat is only 10 minutes level walk from the Old Town & the Cours Saleya,

There is so much to do it would take more than 1 visit to see all that Nice & the Cote d' Azur have to offer. If you do not want to venture to far the flat is only 10 minutes level walk from the Old Town & the Cours Saleya, where you can spend endless hours wandering the streets, browsing the galleries/designer boutiques/bars & restaurants.

The Cours Saleya is a wonderful area that is home to the famous flower & produce market which is open from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive & is really a must see & in the long summer months it is a craft market in the evening. On Mondays it is a large antique & bric-a-brac market & is a great place to browse or sit & take in the atmosphere over an aperitif before lunch. Do try the many bars & restaurants which at lunch time serve the Plat du Jour normally 2 to 3 courses & some include wine, always fresh home cooked food & good value. Through the arch ways on the Cours Saleya you find the wonderful Promenade des Anglais which runs from the airport to the port, it is a great place to meet, relax or ride bikes/roller blade/jog/walk or sit and take in the fantastic vista's that have inspired so many artist's over the years.
Nice is a wonderful city & the places to visit & things to do are endless, if this is your first visit to Nice it will not be your last. It is a year round resort. With festivals of all sorts during the year, even the garlic has a festival of it's own. The world famous Nice Carnival in February every year is for two weeks and is great fun for all ages. For detailed information see Nice Tourism.com
Check availability calender for late deals in September & October also great winter deals. Go skiing for €1 by bus in the morning and sunbathe in the afternoon.

“A perfect base for seeing Nice.”

Reviewed 1 Apr 2017

Warm, comfortable, well appointed flat in good situation between old town and shops, with lovely views over the city especially at sunset. Lots of good cafes and restaurants close by. Thoughtfully managed by Terri - a perfect base for a few days or a longer stay. We have stayed here five years running and are already looking forward to next year.

Owner's reply: It is always a pleasure to have such nice guests as you and we look foward to having you back as often as you wish to come . We are happy you had such a nice time and that the weather was kind . Many thanks

“A GEM”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2012

If you rent here, handle with care, this is a true gem, as are it's caretakers, Hillary and Bill. We stayed for nearly 3 weeks, and found this rental to be above expectations. The location was excellent, as it was just a step out of the major tourist areas, but close enough to enjoy them easily. The neighborhood offered all we needed for fresh market, shopping and groceries. The views and balcony at the apartment are perfect.

“Lovely apartment”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2012

If your looking for somewhere to stay in Nice, this apartment has it all. The location is brilliant. 5 minutes from old town and new town, loads of restaurants in walking distance and a baker round the corner to buy your croissants in the morning. The flat has everything you need for your stay, and the welcome pack was an added bonus and a lovely touch. The balcony gets the sun in the morning for breakfast and in he evening to relax with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

“Cute apartment with all needed infrustructure around”

Reviewed 25 May 2012

We really enjoyed staying in Portobello having sunshine breakfast in the morning and glass of wine at night in our balcony. Not far from the center but sometimes quite lazy for walking this block is surrounded by local cafes and Carrefour and everything needed.
