The Cours Salaya has a daily flower market and many restaurants. The Chagall museum set in the hills above Nice in Cimiez is well worth a visit; the Matisse museum is nearby. The contemporary art museum is in the centre of Nice. Designer shopping for clothes in the centre ,near Rue de France.
Beaches stretch along the coastline some public and therefor free or private where beach towels and loungers can be hired on a daily rate.Beach cafes serving fresh fish and plat du jour abound. The port in Nice is spectacular with grand yachts and fishing boats; surrounded by restaurants; daily boating trips to San Tropez and destinations along the Cote D'Azur available.
