Adjacent to the recently renovated Place Garibaldi, entrance from Vieux Nice surrounded by cafes, boulangeries and bars BUT QUIET! There are no busy roads in any direction, yet the new airport tram stop is virtually at the bottom of the drive. .

I've never known such an easy trip to or from an airport. Within a 5 minute walk in any direction, surrounding La Providence you will find : 1. Promenade de Paillon with its fountains and misty spaces

2. Place Garibaldi

3. Rue Bonaparte pedestrian walkway to the latest bar/restaurant area "Marais de Nice"

4. Port of Nice

5 The Chateau Park overlooking the city, sea and port.

6. Rue Droite the pedestrian street lined with galleries and bars, leading down to the Cours Saleya

7. The Promenade des Anglais, Quai des Etats Unis and the sea

The main bathroom has a full bath and opens off the 2nd bedroom which has a high quality double sofa bed 140cm.

We use this room as a study but you can close the doors and create a self contained ensuite bedroom. Complete with small chest of drawers and a wardrobe, doubles as a great airing cupboard - the hot water tank lives there too.

AREA LA PROVIDENCEThe location is brilliant, being secluded yet near everything. It's quiet, there are no busy roads nearby and you can walk to the Chateau Hill Park, Cours Saleya, the Promenade des Anglais or the flower market through the charming cobbled streets of Vieux Nice.Local shops and market stalls line the streets beneath the back stairs which lead to the old town.

The antique shops and port of Nice are 5 minutes walk to the east and the beach is just 10 minutes walk through the old town to the south. If you like to walk, enjoy being part of a village neighbourhood yet have walking access to a city then Vieux Nice is the place to be. An endless array of restaurants, bars, cafes are on your doorstep. The back stairs of La Providence lead down to Vieux Nice, Rue Droite and Place St Francois. The front entrance is the one for Catherine Segurane, Place Garibaldi, Quartier des Antiquaires and the port. Five minutes walk to Cours Saleya, along Rue Droite, Nice port, the chateau park, Monoprix, Cafe Turin and Place Rossetti and of course the BEACH. Tram stops for Vieux Nice Cathedral and Garibaldi are both less than 5 minutes away. The living room has a blue leather corner sofa, several chairs coffee table, LCD TV and Sony Playstation which doubles as a CD or DVD player, jack to connect your music via ipods, iphones etc. French doors to the balcony. The dining area, with a wooden table and seating for 4, looks out onto the Clocktower and the La Providence Cultural centre. Fairy tale views at night and you can see the snow on the hills in winter. Wall lighting and several standing lamps.
