“super stay, lovely views”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2016

We had a super stay in lovely apartment with superb views from the surrounding terrace. The flat has been recently refurbished and is clean and comfortable with everything we required, including very comfortable beds and there is easy access to the city centre and well known attractions. Liz made us feel very welcome and we can’t wait to visit again. I would definitely recommend this apartment

“Comfortable, quiet, well located apartment”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2016

This apartment consists of a comfortable, well lit sitting room, two bedrooms (single & double, with good beds), kitchen, shower room & separate WC. It's on the 8th (top) floor of an apartment block and has a large terrace which we unfortunately didn't use because of the time of year. There is a view of the sea in the distance. It is well furnished and equipped and a full inventory was provided by the extremely pleasant and helpful British owner. The apartment is centrally located by the Promenade des Arts, a few minutes' walk from Place Garibaldi. There is a lift, but the shower room and WC wouldn't be accessible for a wheelchair user. Some minor works need completing (delayed by the contractor's illness). Highly recommended. We hope to go back.

“Fantastic apartment in Nice”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2015

My husband & I spent a week in Nice and we really enjoyed the apartment. The location was great, it was spacious, clean, and we loved having dinner on the terrace. It was perfect for our first trip to the south of France! We would not hesitate to stay here again. Would have to agree with others that Liz is a gracious host who made our stay very special.

“Beautiful Terrace View”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2015

Great apartment. All amenities. The terrace is great to have your morning tea/coffee and you can choose to look at the beautiful blue sea or the beautiful green hills. Very convenient to all needs. Restaurants, bakeries/pastry shops, transportation. Bus #17 and #15, short walk, and takes you directly to Musee Chagall, Musee Matisse, and Cimiez monastery/cemetery. Tram is another short walk and can take you to "Old Nice", Place Massena, Nice Ville rail station. Nice Riquier rail station is only a 15 min walk and is less crowded than Nice Ville, and has the same trains except the TGV. Liz VG, the owner is a great host, very friendly and a good conversationalist. Speaks English and French. Her dog Dezi is very friendly as well. Liz and Dezi only live across the hall. The location of the apartment besides the great things already mentioned, is excellent. It is not in the busy Place Massena area, but rather in the beginning of the Cimiez section of Nice, so it is very residential and much quieter than "downtown". We can not say enough nice things about the apartment and Liz. p.s. booking through Trip Advisor/Holiday Letting is easy and very beneficial, a big plus also.

“Elegant Apartment”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2015

An elegant, comfortable, well-equipped apartment on the top floor of the building, with splendid views all round. The large balcony is also very well-equipped, enabling one to take all meals outside and enjoy the sun and the views. The apartment is within walking distance of the sea, Old Nice and the Port, but there is only a five minute walk to pick up the tram to get you there more easily and quickly, if you so desire. There is also an excellent range of shops in the same street as the tram stop. Owner, Liz, is charming and extremely helpful. She invited us for coffee one morning in her own beautiful apartment next door and we had a good chat. She also arranged the taxi for us to get back to the airport.

“A combination of a great apartment with a very friendly host!”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2014

We had a great vacation in Nice both because Liz’ apartment is really nice and because Liz is the perfect host. On early arrival we were welcomed by Liz who greeted us in the apartment and later invited us to her fabulous roof terrace for combined welcome and -farewell drinks for the family who stayed in her apartment before us. The apartment is newly renovated, very clean and functional and was just the perfect size for our family of five. It is well equipped with all necessary amenities. The wrap around balcony is priceless. Being on the top floor meant we had fantastic views of the ocean and the castle over the roof tops of the old town on one side and mountains on the other. There is a gentle breeze that makes it comfortable to sit out in hot summer days. The location of the apartment is in a quiet residential neighborhood on the hillside yet it is quite close to many attractions. A walk to the old town is only 10 min and the beach about 15-20min. The Matisse, Chagall and MAMAC museums are all located within nice walking distance. Liz lives next door to the apartment and was truly friendly and always very helpful. It was very comforting to know that we could just knock on her door or send SMS and she would be there to help us. We very much recommend going to Nice and staying in Liz' fantastic apartment.

Dear Masato, Thank-you for taking the time of sending your review to both sites, I just received notice of your review on Trip Advisor and it brought just as big a smile to my face as when I read it via AirB&B. How is Copenhagen? We had an enormous rain storm here in Nice this morning but the blue sky is back in time for tea. My father, sister and one of my brothers have been staying with me for the past week, another brother is arriving with his wife (actually landing while I am writing) and so, tonight, for the first time, I shall be sleeping in "your flat". Please give my best to Ellie and the kids Kind regards Liz
