“The perfect location”

Reviewed 20 Apr 2017

Perfect location for shops,bars/restaurants,buses and trains. All the important buses are just 5 mins away ie to the airport,Cannes,St Paul de Vence etc plus local bus outside door to bring you to town if you don't fancy the walk.We were there before in July when it's really hot so bus can be a relief, buy the €10 pass which gives you 10 trips and can be used on trams as well. The apartment itself is fantastic, everything you need is supplied whether you want to cook,go to the beach or just relax with a book or watch telly. I would have no qualms recommending a stay here and hopefully we'll get back there again this summer! Colin

Owner's reply: I'm delighted that you enjoyed the location, the apartment and all its facilities! It would be a pleasure to host you again Colin on your next trip to Nice. I love that so many guests book return trips and view the apartment as a home from home. Let me know your dates and I'll reserve the apartment for you. Looking forward to seeing you later in the year!

“Lovely apartment, great location!”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2016

Me and my girlfriend just returned from an amazing week at this apartment. The location was perfect, five minute walk to the beach and twenty minute walk to the old town along the promenade. The apartment was clean and spacious with everything you need- including beach towels. The bottle of wine and chocolate on arrival was a lovely touch! We had no problems at all when booking or staying in this apartment, very easy to find when arriving on the airport bus, no need to book a taxi! The apartment owner sent us a lot of maps, bus timetables and suggestions of things to do in Nice which was extremely helpful for planning and throughout our stay. The apartment is a ten minute walk to the train station, allowing you to see a lot of places along the amazing coastline, we visited Monaco, Villefranche-Sur-Mer (a sandy beach in a small french town) and Ventimlglia (Italy). The trains are frequent and go right along the coastline with some amazing views! We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who is considering staying in Nice and we would love to return ourselves.

Owner's reply: I'm delighted that you enjoyed the apartment, Nice and the surrounding area. It is such a scenic part of the world. Having beach towels at your disposal in the apartment, certainly saves on luggage space! Great to hear that the info and suggestions I sent came in handy. Thanks for looking after the apartment so well, come back anytime we would be delighted to have you come stay with us again.

This apartment was 10 out of 10 Cant seem to speak highly enough about It You wanted for nothing. Everything that you could wish for was provided & more. Location was exceptional...didnt need a car at all ........buses at your door step, train station 20 min walk, shops, restaurants, old town, beaches, just everything was within walking distance. Our stay wasn't long enough to enjoy everything NIce had to offer & we certainly didn't want to leave but anticipate returning to enjoy the wonderful city of NIce & apartment. Having travelled from Australia it was lovely to be able to really unwind & totally relax. It was home away from home. Loved being able to have a relaxing hot bath in the full size tub...something rare to find these days. Thank you to Claire for her wonderful orientation of the apartment & surrounds. Thank you Jemma for our wonderful stay & for all the thought you have put into providing everything one needs & the tasteful renovations you have done. Absolutely loved it!!!!!!!! Mikael & Kerry

Owner's reply: I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay! We try to think of everything our guests might need and are thrilled that you found this to be the case and that you enjoyed the homely, cosy feel of the apartment. Come back and stay with us for longer on your next trip, we'd be delighted to welcome you back. Thanks for taking such good care of the apartment.

“Thank You Just Lovely”

Reviewed 21 May 2015

The apartment is in a excellent location to access everything you would wish to do in Nice. 5 minutes walk to the sea front via Rue St Phillip. On this Rue is an excellent Inter-March and there is a small Lidl on Rue Dante and just up the road a Casino supermarket . The apartment has everything you could wish for, It is quite spacious and light and airy . It overlooks a small private park, but it can be, if you are a light sleeper, a bit noisy with traffic in the early morning as with most places in central and old town Nice. However, do not let that put you off. It was very clean and everything worked as it should. From the apartment, it is about a 20 minute walk to the "old" town and market. An hours walk along the front would take you to the Port. The train station is a 15 minute walk away, but the bus for the station stops near to the apartment entrance. There is plenty of storage space for your clothes etc, and plenty of electric points. Claire the "meet & greet" was waiting for us and explained everything that we should know, and left us with her contact details "just in case" The only small draw back would be the four flights of stairs you need to climb to get to the apartment, but if you have walked to the port and the old town, this should not be a problem. If, you do have a car though, parking in Nice is a nightmare, and it it amusing watching the locals parking in the smallest of places. We would recommend this apartment and when we return to Nice, we would have no hesitation in coming here again> The owner Jemma is so very helpful and kept in contact with us through the internet as and when was necessary.

Owner's reply: Thanks for taking the time to do your review and I'm delighted you enjoyed our clean, spacious, bright and airy apartment! Overlooking the gardens is a lovely view to wake up to and a rarity in central Nice. I agree re the parking situation but that is the beauty of Fleurs, we are so close to everything a car is not necessary unless of course you wish to have one. If so, there is on street parking outside the apartment, free between 8pm to 8am and on Sundays, or we recommend the indoor, secure paycar park just around the corner where you can get special offers prices for stays of more than 24 hours. We look forward to having you stay with us again on your next trip to Nice!

“Fantastic Apartment!”

Reviewed 20 May 2015

Fantastic property and conveniently a short walk from the beach, promenade and 15-20 min walk to old nice. Owner is exceptionally friendly and helpful in providing advice on whatever you need! Apartment is well stocked with kitchen basics and located close to grocery stores and bakery. Having breakfast next to the Juliet balcony every morning was an outstanding way to start the day. Quite roomy for two people!! Very charming and would absolutely recommend to family and friends.

Owner's reply: Its a fantastic way to start the day, enjoying croissants from the local bakery overlooking the gardens! At 50m2 the apartment is definitely spacious in comparison to other 1 Beds. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and found my advice helpful, we aim to please! Do come stay with us again on your next visit to Nice, we be delighted to host you again.

“Ideal holiday rental”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2015

Location was perfect. Apartment comfortable and well equipped. It can be very noisy at night but Jemma had left ear plugs which helped considerably. Plenty of information and tips to hand.

Owner's reply: I'm so pleased you found the apartment comfortable and its location perfect. We are lucky to be in such an ideal spot, close to all amenities, the train station and the beach. We do try to think of everything and even though most guests don't seem to need them, we provide ear plugs for guests who are particularly sensitive to city noise, so I'm glad that you found them helpful. The information and tips in our detailed guest arrival folder do come in useful! Come stay with us again on your next trip to Nice, we be delighted to host you again.

“This is a great apartment 3 blocks from the beach, near a bus stop, and a short walk to the main tourist area.”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2014

The location is great. It's in a local neighborhood, no tourists, and close to at least 2 supermarkets. We didn't get a chance to try any local cafes, but they looked inviting. The beach is a short walk and there is public access at the end. There is a bus stop East of the apartment, and also down near the beach near where the main street meets it. The apartment has one dedicated bed which is in a spacious bedroom and has a lot of natural light, with windows on both sides of the room. The living room is also large and set up with a small eating table for 2 and a couch with a TV/stereo. Again it has a lot of light from the large window facing north. The bathroom has a shower/bath combo that have controls that take a little getting used to, and is also very spacious for a bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and not cramped at all, with plenty of counter space opposite the refrigerator and stove side. The kitchen was great to cook in, the living room was great to eat and drink in, and the bedroom was very comfortable to sleep in with plenty of space for us to lay out our clothes. The washer in the kitchen is not a dryer as well, and clothes need to be hung out on the wire racks outside the bedroom window. Not a huge deal to do, but with the high humidity we had and the limited sunlight that area of the building gets, as it is the courtyard, clothes took longer than expected to dry. Also, the windows are all extremely large with wooden shutters that can be left open or shut and is a great feature of the apartment. I know it is typical in France, but in the USA it is different since we also have way more bugs to worry about getting inside. It is great to open all of the large windows, leaving the shutters closed, to really get a lot of fresh air through the apartment while keeping privacy. The only downside to this is that France seems to have trash/recycling collection every day of the week and the trucks do their pickups on the side of the street that all but one of the windows face. The bus line also runs down that street as well. I can sleep through this noise, but light sleepers will want to close up before going to sleep. I HIGHLY recommend this apartment for 2 people, maybe 3 or 4 since I saw there was a small fold out bed and the couch as well. But with more than 2, I can imagine laundry and bathroom time to be slight bottle-necks.

Owner's reply: Thanks for your in depth review and we value you highly recommending our apartment. We are pleased that you found so much right with the apartment and that you appreciated all the effort we have put in to try make the apartment perfect for guests to come stay. We have put in a new clothes horse to air clothes on those rare days when the weather is not so great and are providing ear plugs for the guests who are light sleepers. When you are coming back this way, we'd be delighted to host you both again. Hopefully we'll see you in Nice again soon!

Firstly , thank you for renting your appartment to me- it was difficult to leave. > I enjoyed myself and it is up to the tenant to be independent and resourceful > The positives > Comprehensive information file- especially liked the doctors telephone number. > Great decor and spacious > Good location to shops and not far from the beach > A firm mattress! > Availability of a fan if hot > Personable managers > Exercise on the stairs-only 4 flights:) > Things to consider: > A microwave for the lazy chefs > A calendar on the wall so people remember when they have to leave > People have to get used to the street noise - I know the rubbish truck comes around midnight and a man sprays water down the road about 5- it's about getting used to different sounds. > In general I was happy and did activities in and outside of Nice but when one is alone it is a little difficult to enjoy the night life. > Thank you again and good luck in the future- I hope to be able to book again and I will let my colleagues know about your appartment. > Kind regards

Owner's reply: It was my pleasure to have you stay and I'm delighted you enjoyed it so much that you found it difficult to leave! The location is great, so close to the beach and almost everything is within walking distance. Its important to us to have a comprehensive information folder for our guests and the back up of friendly managers, especially for people who are staying on their own. On your recommendation we have now put in a microwave and a calendar. We would be delighted for you to book again and indeed would love to host your colleagues when they are in Nice. See you in Nice again soon!

Stayed at this gorgeous apartment for four nights with my daughter. On arrival we were surprised at how spacious the place was . It really had the wow factor. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. Fantastic comfy bed too! .It was ideally located for shops, beach , restaurants ,train station and the airport . Jemma, the owner, had given us information on directions, timetables and local amenities and this was really helpfull during our stay. Nice is a wonderful place we really enjoyed everything about it and this apartment made it extra special. I would highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone wishing to visit Nice . Thankyou to Jemma for sharing this lovely place .

Owner's reply: Thank you for the great review and I appreciate you highly recommending the apartment. I'm delighted you and your daughter enjoyed the comfort, space, cleanliness and decor of the apartment. It is certainly in the ideal location for either a city break, shopping trip or a beach break. I'd be delighted to share it with you both again on your next trip to Nice!

“Comfortable appartment, well furnished & decorated, fab location in Nice”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2014

We stayed in Jemma's apartment for our honeymoon. It was the perfect location as you are 4minutes walk from the beach and promenade and can also easily navigate your way to the old town, marina and other interesting places. It's also a great location for the train station which we used to visit Eze, and for bus stops (we visited Monaco on the number 100 bus). The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, a good sie, bright and airy. Despite visiting in the height of summer, the apartment stayed cool as there are lots of windows and the sun isn't always shining directly on it. The apartment has good facilities: we made good use of the Wifi and DVD. We would recommend staying in Jemma's apartment and the apartment managers, Christophe and Claire we friendly and welcoming too.
