Living Area

The living area consists of a large corner sofa enticing you to relax, accompanied by side tables, coffee table, a storage unit with TV, DVD, Wi-Fi and iPod dock. For indoor dining there is a dining table with seating for four, however you may find that you spend a lot of time relaxing on the terrace enjoying the views and alfresco lifestyle. From the living area the patio doors lead out onto the rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the Colline du Chateau, over the rooftops of Nice to where the sea meets the sky.

Kitchen

The kitchen is galley style situated next door to the living area. It also has the benefit of a patio door leading out onto the terrace, perfect for serving up your culinary delights. It comes equipped with an oven, four ring hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, usual household utensils needed for cooking and plenty of worktop space for preparation.

In a storage area just off the patio you will find a large American fridge freezer so plenty of space if your kitchen fridge is full also very handy for storing cold drinks when relaxing on the terrace. Here you will also find the washing machine.

Bedrooms

We love the high beds with luxury headboards in this apartment purchased with consideration of a peaceful nights sleep. Both bedrooms have double beds, bedside tables with reading lamps and beautiful views over the Nice hills to the mountains.

The master bedroom has an added bonus of its very own balcony, two large mirrors adorning the wall each side of the bed and a double wardrobe.

Bathroom

Newly renovated in 2013 in a stylish grey tile, there is a a large walk in shower with raindrop shower head and hand held adaptable shower hose, a two drawer vanity unit with wash hand basin, overhead mirror and a toilet.

There is also the convenience of a second toilet room just off the hallway.

HOUSE RULES - PLEASE READ We don't want to implement lots of house rules as you are on holiday and we want you to relax and enjoy the apartment as much as we do. All we ask is that you love and respect our apartment and take good care of it for us. Please use your beach towels when sitting on the furniture if using sun cream and oil stains, as they can be difficult to remove and clean in time for the next guest. Also if using fake tan or hair dye please bring your own towels as these products permanently stain our white towels and linen which are expensive to replace. If towels and linen are soiled and stains cannot be removed then unfortunately you will be charged for replacing these items – we hope you understand. Finally our last request is that you ensure that you had a fabulous stay and enjoy Nice and the Riviera as much as we do.

Location description from owner

The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region

The French Riviera or Cote D'Azur as also known is a magical place with so much diversity on offer. Apart from the glamour, champagne lifestyle, and sumptuous yachts - this is only skimming the surface. Where else can you have the extravagance in winter of skiing in the morning and walking by the sea in the afternoon? Explore the beautiful coastal landscapes dotted with small beaches, jagged rock formations and incredible sparkling azure mediterranean which can be seen by car, train, bus, cycling or even walking. If you can tear yourself away from the views then look inland and you will more than like see pretty hilltop villages perched high and proud. These sunkissed and historical hill towns are brimming with culture and history.

Take time to appreciate the magnificent architecture of the Belle Epoque, Bourgois and Art Deco buildings to the Italian influenced buildings of the older quarters - colourful buildings with their pretty colourful wooden shutters. Visit the Picasso museum in Antibes, shop till you drop in Cannes, take a boat to St. Tropez, visit the Palace in Monaco, walk the enchanting path around Cap Ferrat, enjoy Sunday brunch in Eze, make your own French perfume in Grasse, explore the many galleries of St. Paul de Vence, visit the vineyards of Bellet and feel at home in Nice. And if you really want to live like a local then playing petanque (type of bowls played mostly by the older/retired generation) and drink pastis (anise-flavoured liqueur and aperitif ).

Nice

If you haven't been to Nice before then you are in for a treat. Nice is a warm, vibrant and fascinating city with everything to offer the visitor with its sunny climate, beaches, restaurants, art galleries, nightlife and museums. Vieux Nice (old town) is so charming with lots of pretty cobbled streets lined with shops, bakeries, restaurants concocting delicious smells. Nice has one of the most famous coastlines on the Cote d'Azur- the Baie des Anges. The main reason holiday makers choose to stay in this area is the proximity to the beach and Promenade but also the stunning views of the azure sea. Nice really does have everything to offer and I guess that's why tourists keep returning.

The apartment is very centrally located in the New town just 2 minutes from Place Massena and Galeries Lafayette and only 4 minutes walk to Vieux Nice (old town) and the sea front. Take a scroll through the newly opened 'Promenade du Paillon' - a beautiful urban walkway 1.2km in length, it lies between the new and the old town stretching from Place Garibaldi, passing through Place Massena and taking you right down to the promenade and sea. Enjoy the water mirror pavements, water jets, pretty vegetation and a childrens park.

Explore Vieux Nice ( old town) where you can find the famous Cours Saleya flower market, it also offers fresh produce and local favourites such as fruit, vegetable, cheese, olives, soaps, and flowers from early morning until midday. The wide sweep of the Baie des Anges is visible through the arches of the old town walls. The cobbled streets of Vieux Nice (old town) are alive with bustling restaurants, cafes, museums, art galleries, theatres, jazz bars, magnificent baroque churches and little shops selling delicious Nicoise specialities and artisan wares. Enjoy the many pretty plazas - Place Rossetti where you can treat yourself to one of the best Ice Creams at 'Fenocchio's', Place Francois for the daily fish market and the spacious Place Garibaldi which is just a stones throw from the apartment, is lined with a choice of bars and eateries.

For a great way to see an overview of Nice, take the steps or lift up to the Colline du Chateau which sits on top of a hill between the Port and the Old Town and offers stunning panoramic views. Bring your camera as is a very popular vantage point for photographing the stunning Baie des Anges. There are only the ruins of the Chateau remaining at the top, but you can also find a lovely park area with a choice of two cafes. If you prefer to avoid the steps up then you can also take the little white tourist train from the Promenade, or you can walk, cycle or use the lift.

“Lived up to it's Tripadvisor rating”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2016

The location is really central for everything Nice has to offer and in a good residential area. There are quite a few steps up to the entrance of this very smart building but there is a lift to the apartment and we never had to wait for it. The instructions to get to the apartment were clear and we were met by Roni, who managed another apartment we have stayed in. She makes sure her properties are immaculately clean, gives you all the info you need and is always available if you need help. The apartment is modern, large and well equipped. There is a lovely bathroom with great shower and also a second toilet with handbasin making it easier for four people sharing. We used the sunnier terrace off the lounge and kitchen a lot and in the evening enjoyed view of castle hill illuminated from it. As it is in a city there is some traffic noise but it is not too intrusive and is only during the day. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the bedding was good quality. We slept very well. Felt really at home and comfortable during our stay. There is a very good cafe next to the apartments for a coffee or breakfast and a small supermarket a couple of minutes away on Rue Chauvain for basics. Our deposit was returned within a few days of our return.

“Perfect apt in a perfect location”

Close to all amenities, Vieux Nice and beach and yet peacefully quiet. Apartment is well maintained. Roni was punctual even though we arrived after 8:00 pm. Great place to rest and recharge after fun days and nights. Go for it,

“You can believe the reviews about this property.”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2014

You can believe the reviews about this property. We usually stay at 4 or 5 star hotels when on vacation, but this time we decided to go for another lodging option. So glad we did! Clean, great location, and easy access to the property. You do have a parking space in the garage, but getting around Nice does not require a car. We really had the feeling that it was home for the week. Thanks to the owner the very kind friendly and warm representative for allowing us to stay at your property.
