Getting around

Arriving by car: Newquay is 80 miles from Exeter, travelling along the A30 after leaving the M5. Directions will be supplied once a booking has been made. Arriving by train: Newquay train station is in the town centre very close to Rocklands. There is a taxi rank just outside the station. Arriving by bus: Newquay Bus station is in the town centre. Arriving by plane: Newquay International Airport is 5 miles from Newquay Town Centre. Travel from the airport is available by hire car, taxi or bus. There is a taxi rank close to the arrivals lounge, and a bus stop to the west of the terminal building. Transport can also be prebooked with Summercourt travel.

“Great location, lovely accomodation, restricted height access to underground car parking space.”

We stayed as a family of 5 in August 2016 for a week. The accomodation is lovely. Great decor, furnishings and well equipped. (A measuring jug would be a useful addition for any amateur chef). The location is wonderful and the views stunning. Highly recommend and we had great weather as a bonus. The only problem we really encountered was parking our car in the underground allocated space. (A Range Rover Evoque with a roof box). There is a height restriction which is not mentioned before arrival. We had to park the car in a car park just up the road, empty the roof box and remove it from the roof rails before carrying it across to store in the lockers provided at the accomodation. Then, move the car back to the allocated underground space. Only to reverse the procedure at the end of the week. So, a note to the effect of 'restricted height for people carriers or high sided vehicles' in the pack before arrival might be useful in the future. Also, please note, the fire alarm practice is Tuesday am, not Saturday am, as in booklet at property. Having a washer dryer at the property is a great addition, but we couldn't work out how the dryer worked, despite following the user guide? All points to note, but the overall stay was fantastic.
