“Lovely cottage, wonderful hot-tub and views”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2015

Very well set up and comfortable cottage, just a couple of minor things that did not detract from an overall wonderful stay. We were 6 adults and 4 small children and it was pretty well set up for children. The lounge is huge and a wonderful space for playing/relaxing in, especially when it's wet. The hot tub did not disappoint and we were in it most evenings, star gazing. The location is very secluded and with wonderful views out to sea as shown in the pictures. Bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were all lovely, nice big practical dining table. The owners were lovely and very happy to chat, recommend things etc. Great having them just down the road. These are my only criticisms: - The hot water didn't work properly for the first few days as the oil had run out and more had to be ordered. The owners were very good about sorting it out and it was partly our fault for not asking them on day 1, but a bit annoying that they hadn't checked oil prior to our arrival. - Kitchen could do with a few more tea towels and a pair of scissors! - Although the property is advertised as having stair gates they are only barriers and not proper gates that you can open and close so not very useful.

Thank you for your lovely review and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at Seaview. I really appreciate your feedback and I hope you'll be pleased to hear that we've now have a gauge on the tank so we can monitor oil levels correctly. We will in the future leave more tea towels, we've replaced the scissors (they seem to grow legs!) and lastly the stair gates are being replaced with a more permanent fixture. I really appreciate you pointing these out, as we do feel it is the little things that count. Thank you and we hope you'll come back and stay with us again sometime soon. Lisa

“Great views”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2015

Seaview Cottage is up the road from the main group of cottages, on it's own. Sleeps 10 in 5 comfortable bedrooms. The whole place is modern with a nod to nostalgia, the bed was really comfy, with good quality bedding. Kitchen is well equipped for every eventuality and the living room laid out so you can sit and face the sea and watch the wildlife, or cosy up to the fire (too warm for a fire when we were there) Outside the hot tub, very clean and treated daily, wonderful to relax in peace, as the sun sets and the bats come out, hearing nothing but the cows mooing, and the birds tweeting. Although only 2 of us, will look to return with all the family.

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and made the most of the hot tub. We look forward to seeing you again and meeting the family.
