Description

The property is conveniently situated a few hundred yards down a private track with easy access to the A487. Newport Town with its many shops and facilities is a few minutes car drive or a 20 minute walk. Newport Big Beach is a 10 minute drive, the coast path is a 15 minute walk and walking on the wilds of Carningli is a big draw. Newport is a town, but small with big amenities - 3 pubs, all with restaurants, further cafes and restaurants and a wealth of small shops (grocery, butcher, whole foods, hardware, gifts, papers, art, crafts, clothing, hardressers, library, fresh fish, toy museum, bank). Boating, fishing, cycling (bike hire), kayaking, tennis courts, fantastic scenery and yet generally quiet. This is a welsh speaking area, with big hearted friendly outgoing residents. You are sure of a warm Welsh welcome here.

Location description from owner

The Wales region

This is an ancient area, ancient woodlands, heaths and mountains and a sea that can be clear blue and inviting or wild, grey, with lashing waves. The mountains are covered with bright yellow gorse and pink and purple heathers. This is a welsh speaking area with friendly residents greeting visitors warmly. We have visitors that return time after time, for the peace, the walks, the beaches, the horseriding, cycling and boating. It is an area that draws you back time after time.

Newport -Trefdraeth

Newport is an ancient but small town with a wealth of amenities despite it's size. There are 3 pubs with restaurants, many further cafes and restaurants. The shops include a baker, a butcher, arts and crafts and gifts, wholefoods, postoffice, stationery, grocers and clothing and the bank. We even have a library. We have local horse riding stables, a golf course, tennis course and a boat club. You can hire bikes or kayaks locally. The main beach is large with lifeguards in high season. Thanks to our ancient town charter, we have a mayor, aldermen and burgesses along with 'Ffair Gurig' in June and a carnival and beating the boundsin August. The local regattas are also in August.
