Set in Scotland in the glorious Fife countryside, just 10 miles from St Andrews and 5 miles from Dundee, Baillie Scott Cottage is part of Sandford Country Cottages, 4 luxury self-catering cottages which are part of the 'B' Listed Arts and Crafts House designed by Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott around 1902.

Baillie Scott Cottage is named after Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, the architect who designed 'Sandford Cottage' for the Valentines family in 1902.

Downstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, which can be split into two singles and one with a double bed. Both bedrooms are en-suite, one with a bath and one with a walk-in shower, both are fitted with Trevi rainwater showers.

The comfy beds have sumptuous duvets and pillows and the bedlinen is crisp white Egyptian cotton. Microfibre duvets and pillows can be supplied if required.

Downstairs in the utility room you'll find a washing machine and a freezer.

All cottages have oil central heating and a wood burning stove. Electricity, heating and one basket of logs is included in the rental cost, additional logs can be purchased from the office. WiFi is free.

St Andrews, home of golf is one of the major towns and a visit to the East Neuk of Fife is a must for seaside lovers. Easily reached by car, train or plane and ideal for cycling and walking, fishing, history tours, tourist attractions. Across the water in Dundee are attractions such as RRS Discover, Verdant Works, The McManus Galleries, the new V&A museum is due to open in 2017.

The View Restaurant is 2 minutes away, Kitschenbake Cafe is only 5 minutes away. Pick fruit at Pittormie or Cairnie Fruit Farm, Go land yachting at the West Sands St Andrews, Play golf on one of our amazing golf courses in the area, Visit a farm shop - there are loads to choose from or just chill out and relax on your own private terrace.
