Description

Just a 30 second walk and you are on the beach! Our cute cottage has just been completely remodeled. The spacious open floor plan is light and bright with new wood floors. There are three bedrooms in the main house with one large bath. The bathroom is new with honed black granite counters, carrara marble floors and cute subway tile in the shower/tub. Everyone loves the pocket door with the chalkboard inset on the bathroom door. We provide plenty of chalk and the kids love to sit and draw. It's also quite handy for family messages! The entire kitchen has been replaced with all new stainless appliances (including a dishwasher). Granite counter tops, all cookware, dishware, utensils and necessities you will need to cook for a large family. A moveable center island provides additional counter space. In addition, thelfreestanding cabinet allows for extra food storage space.

The large table off the kitchen seats 6-8 and is perfect for entertaining and playing family games! There is also a patio table with 6 chairs which is great for outside dining and enjoying the beach breeze.

The comfortable living room has two new couches facing the 47" HD flatscreen TV. Perfect for relaxing after a long day in the sun. One of the couches opens into a sleeper for two people. The coffee table holds cards & games for the family. Additional games and storage are found in the built-in TV area. Spectrum Cable with over 120 channels and free WI-FI is included. The password is provide upon check-in and is strong & easy to connect to.

Just off the living room are the two front bedrooms. The first bedroom has a full bed with a large armoire for storage. The two windows are original but have been repaired and lock securely. The provide a beautiful, cottage feeling especially with the wainscotting along the walls. All the bedding is new and provided upon your stay at no additional charge.

The second bedroom is a kids favorite! There are two sets of cozy, cheerful bunkbeds. Storage is provided under the beds and a small cabinet. We have found kids of all ages from our 4 year old nephews to our teenage children all want to share the bunkbed room!

The back master bedroom is spacious with a kingsize bed and a brand new pillowtop mattress. The armoire holds a 27" HD TV and provides hanging storage space. The eight dresser drawer has additional space for storage needs. In addition, there is a small daybed that can be used as a sitting area or a small child could sleep there. We also provide a queen size air mattress under the bed if you had additional small children that like to stay in the same room.

Overall, the front house sleeps 10 comfortable - add in the air mattress and you can fit twelve! We have a large family and are always happy when we can accomodate extra kids!

There is a separate back house that has one bedroom ( new full-size pillowtop mattress) with a seperate living area.The living area has a fold down couch (a bit like a futon) with a 50" flat screen with cable and internet. There is a small kitchenette with a sink, microwave and coffee maker. Because this was a part of the original 1912 house it is a little quirky! You will find the ceiling a little low (just under 8') and angles a bit off. Original woodwork in the bedroom just adds to the charm. The floors are all wood and the bathroom has been completely remodeled with a cute subway tile shower. Lots of windows keep the house bright.

There is a large private yard between the front and back house. There is a picnic table and umbrella on this patio. There is a gas grill on the front patio and a large charcoal grill in the back.

The yard is perfect for storage of your surfboards, wetsuits, bikes, etc.. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off (hot & cold). Storage hooks are provided for towels or wetsuits etc. We provide 4 beach cruisers for you, 6 beach chairs, 10 beach towels and 3 boogie boards (one is a child size). We only ask that you keep them locked up and safetly put away when not in use!

There is a small garage and driveway. When the garage is empty (bikes need to be moved to inside patio) two cars can park tandem when the doors are left open. It is a tight space but when pulled in carefully, we have fit our Tahoe in the garage. If possible, a smaller car is easier!

We are local to the area and will be happy to answer any questions or help to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

House rules

This is our family beach home. We love to have guests come and enjoy it! Celebrations and gatherings are encouraged and one of our favorite things to do at "The Beach House"! Our home accommodates 10-12 people comfortably (it's good with some being "little ones" or "teens" - bunkbeds!). We do not allow extremely loud, out of hand parties. Smoking of any kind is not allowed in our home.
The rental includes the separate "back" house". We hope to hear from you!
