“What a find !”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2016

We had a fantastic week on the IoW, seven of us in total with extended family, and Yachtsman's Rest easily accommodated us all in comfort. Plenty of bathrooms, all well placed next to bedrooms or en-suite, no kids squabbling about whose turn it is ! Extremely well finished to a high standard with more than enough room for extended family, and handily placed just north of Newport, with the lovely and peaceful local marina on hand for early morning/evening walks.

Tony, so glad that you enjoyed your stay. The 4 bathroom/shower rooms really are a bonus adding to the quality of the accommodation. We try to ensure that we deserve our 4 stars and hope that you will come again. The Isle of Wight is a fantastic family holiday destination and the the short ferry trip which if booked in advance is reasonably priced is part of the holiday. A complete rest from traffic jams to reach the best countryside and beaches in the country and the local facilities are amazing for families.

“VIP accommodation for the Isle of Wight Festival”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2015

We stayed here with family and friends for 3 nights for the Isle of Wight Festival this year. Having the mooring come with the house made for a hassle free arrival and departure when the ferries and buses were busy. It was a 1.5 mile walk to the main stage from the house. The house was very comfortable with 4 bathrooms with showers there was no excuse not to wash during the festival. This would make a great house for a week exploring the island, we wish we had had more time.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay last year - are you planning to come again this year? We could make the mooring available again, subject to availability.
