“Beautiful and quiet,cosy cottage”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2016

The owners live next door and we're very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, the towels were lovely and fluffy, hot water at all times, nice big shower and very comfy bed. We took our dogs and there was an enclosed garden for them too. It is near to the Forest of Dean, easily accessible to little towns nearby yet up a little country lane which is peaceful. I would visit again.

“Beautiful clean peaceful little cottage”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2015

We stayed for a week in Granary cottage(with our dogs) to meet up with family and do business in Gloucester. We were delighted with the cosiness and impressive cleanliness of this beautiful little cottage, and found it ideal for visiting Gloucester, and also for exploring the Forest of Dean. Granary Cottage is attached to the "parent" house, but has its own entrance and parking space, and we found our host family to be very friendly and accommodating. We also let our house in France,so are probably particularly critical, but we would certainly re-visit Granary Cottage, and are very likely to do so. Many thanks, Glenys

“Excellent hideaway near The Forest of Dean”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2014

This cottage is a gem. It is close to the Forest of Dean and all its attractions, and Gloucester. An easy drive along the Severn to Bristol, or Wales. The cottage is well maintained and well-provisioned. The hosts were very obliging, and friendly. Even though the cottage is in their backyard, literally, they don't interfere in any way. We would stay there again, and fully recommend it.

“Comfortable cottage with a good location”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2013

Ideal cottage for a couple with parking right outside. Ideal location whether you want to visit Gloucester, Chepstow, Monmouth or the Cotswolds. Cinderford and Little Dean nearby where you will find plenty of pubs serving bar meals.

“3rd stay”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2013

Great cottage everything a couple need for a quiet comfortable stay. A warm welcome is guaranteed by Glinnys and Martin. A bonus is that its also dog friendly. I would highly recommend a stay.

“lovely cottage, beautifull area, wonderfull people”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2012

we had a very nice stay, cottages was lovely. few little hickups but the owners were very willing and helpful. close to the beautifull forest of dean and atractions.

“Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely area.”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2012

A very pleasant and quiet cottage to stay in. It took us a few minutes to find it, but after that it was all just what we wanted. Everything we needed was there, and it was all clean and comfortable. The owners were welcoming - available but not intrusive. The location was good for trips around the area and Cinderford is close enough to ensure that shopping for essentials was not a chore. Lastly, our dog got on with theirs, so it was good stay for her too.
