"Blissful break in Newchurch.."
Our son treated us to a week's break on the Isle of Wight for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and what a fantastic surprise it was. The accommodation was second to none and the owners, Hilary and David, the perfect hosts. The holiday bungalow was first class, set back from the road it was peaceful, tranquil and extremely well kitted out. There was nothing I needed to ask for, although Hilary would have accommodated us with anything if we had, she was so kind and helpful. The king sized bed was very comfortable, the best week's sleep we've had in years. The walk-in power shower was a treat every evening after walking the downs, and the kitchen was very well equipped too. We were able to park off-road on the driveway which was great, and the Pointer Inn (a lovely little pub) was only a 5 minute walk from the accommodation. The patio had a table and chairs to relax outside on and we had use of the one acre garden if we wished. On arrival we found a bottle of champagne and a card on the coffee table for our anniversary, and a gorgeous boxed chocolate cake in the kitchen. Tea, coffee, fresh orange juice, milk, cereal, herbs and spices, plus toiletries to name but a few items were provided for us! The thoughtfulness, generosity and care Hilary put into our stay was overwhelming. The wi-fi worked well pretty much the whole week, fortunately, as we took a laptop with us. And although the accommodation is adjacent to the owners' property you had complete privacy at all times. We weren't lucky with the weather at the start of the week, but we feel extremely lucky to have been booked into Springfield Cottage. It was one of the best week's holiday I can remember...mostly thanks to the owners and their wonderful accommodation!

"The best self-catering accommodation we have ever experienced"
Spacious, comfortable and cosy the cottage has an extremely well-equipped kitchen area, and an exceptionally comfortable king-size bed. This modern building also has a shower room fitted with a very efficient shower. Even though it was a chilly week in March we were never cold during our stay there. The living area opens out onto the owner's spacious garden, which we were invited to use at any time during our stay. We were made very welcome when we arrived; the owner was most friendly and helpful. We will be delighted to stay at Springfield cottage again when we return to the Isle of Wight.

"The best country cottage stay we have experienced!"
This is the best self-catering cottage we have ever enjoyed. The location is secluded and quiet, but it is easy to travel to any of the many attractions nearby. Perfectly clean accommodation and so many nice points. The owner has thought of everything and could not have been more helpful. We definitely recommend.
