Lynwood Cottage is situated in the small south lakes village of Backbarrow, within the Lake District National Park. It is close to the southern tip of Lake Windermere (Newby Bridge 2 miles) and affords easy access to the southern and western lakes as well as the lakes peninsulars. The house is fully equipped and furnished. There are three bedrooms, a double bedroom with en suite shower room, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. Downstairs there is a through lounge and dining room with a wood burning stove and TV /DVD. The kitchen comes fully equipped with electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer and all crockery and utensils. Within the village there is the Whitewater hotel with bars, restaurant and leisure club. Nearby there are numerous restaurants from local pubs (Anglers Arms at Haverthwaite or the White Hart at Bouth) to gourmet restaurants (L'enclume at Cartmel). A right turn at Greenodd will take you to Grizedale forest where there is walking, moutain biking etc. further west is Wasdale and Scafell pike (highest peak in England). There is easy access to Windermere, Ambleside and Kendal. Or you could take the steam train to Lakeside and the lake steamer to Bowness.

A lovely comfortable well equipped cottage that was home for a week we Loved the wood burner in the lounge. Great location lots of lovely dog walks close by and close to tourist hot spots. Great communication with owner who even sent some things through the post which we had left behind. Thank you
