“Low Mill Cottage”

Excellent location above Newby Bridge. Beautiful walk to Higher Damn from the cottage. Everything you would expect at the cottage with the wood burning stove a real plus.

Owner's reply: Thank you simon for your review. High dam is a fabulous, picturesque walk from the cottage door. It is good to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Kathryn

Great house, with everything you could possibly need. In a beautiful location, the high dam is well worth visiting, a gorgeous walk! Kathryn was a great person to deal with, she was on hand with information where necessary. My only tiny tiny problem was I couldn't get the oven to work, I must admit didn't try too hard, who needs a greater excuse to not cook ay!!! I'm sure Kathryn would of sorted this if needed. All in all a great stay with our teenagers and dogs, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your positive comments. I'm pleased that the whole family enjoyed their stay! Kathryn

“Great cottage in good location”

Enjoyed our stay very much. Cozy cottage central to everything we needed to do. Great for the dog due to the slate and tile floors. Hopefully we can book again when we visit family in the area.

Owner's reply: Many thanks Carole for your positive feedback. Look forward to welcoming you back! Kathryn

“Just wonderful”

We have had a delightful bank holiday weekend at Low Mill Cottage. It is perfect and we would love to stay again. The cottage was immaculate and bigger than i expected and location is great. We dined at the Swann a couple of times which the children enjoyed as it has a lovely play area and our dog also enjoyed it too. Cannot fault it at all. Many thanks

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to review our cottage, and for all your lovely comments. We would love to welcome you back. Kathryn Redford

“Wonderful relaxing retreat”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2013

We stayed at Low Mill Cottage for 3 nights in February 2013. We selected this cottage as we wanted somewhere that was quiet, but easily accessible with 3 good sized bedrooms and allowed dogs. Low Mill cottage met all of these requirements. It is set in quiet peaceful surroundings with fantastic walks from the doorstep. We stayed with our two young children (aged 4 and 6) and my Mum and her dog. We really enjoyed the walk up to High Dam Tarn and the kids loved the ferry ride from Hawkshead to Bowness. The cottage itself was well equipped with everything we needed and furnished to a high standard. The log fire was especially welcoming in the evenings.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind comments and taking the time to review the cottage. We have many guests returning to Low Mill, and we hope that you will stay with us again. Kathryn Redford

Low mill cottage is a beautiful cottage with all modern cons !! Set in a beautiful surrounds in a peace full area, nights in snuggles up watching films tea at the gorgeous swan inn which is only a short taxi ride away. We loved every minute of our stay and it was a fantastic base for our first of many trips to the Lake District! Many thanks to the owners :)

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your comments. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. The Swan hotel is a favourite of ours too. We look forward to welcoming you next year! K Redford
