Description from owner

Description

Our flat is in a listed building on the ground floor of a cobbled lane in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. It has high ceilings, with plantation shutters and is very light and airy.

Stockbridge is the fashionable part of Edinburgh; cobbled streets, wonderful architecture, fab restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. The water of Leith winds through the middle of the "village". Sit on the Terrace at the Raeburn Hotel, visit the famous Scran and Scallie Gastro Pub run by Michelin Star chef Tom Kitchen or head to the Sunday farmers market. Wander down the river or hang out and watch the world go by at one of the independent coffee houses.

The Flat has two double rooms and one single room. All the stylish bedrooms have white Egyptian cotton bed linen. It has a large sitting room/dinning room with a kitchen table for 6-8. The bathroom has a separate bath and power shower area. The kitchen and boiler are newly installed.

The flat is ideal if you are attending the Edinburgh

The flat is ideal if you are attending the Edinburgh festival. It is a 10 minute walk to Prince Street (the city center) and allows you the opportunity to completely dive into the festival and central attractions but also to relax and enjoy the wonderful buzz of Stockbridge when you have had enough crowds.

Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Throughout August Edinburgh hosts the largest international arts festival in the world. Comedy, Drama, Dance, Music as well as a book and film festival and all this in a city with the most stunning Georgian architecture.

The Old Town and New Town are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.

While in Edinburgh as well as seeing the castle you should make every effort to attend a Ceilidh or Scottish Reeling (dancing). This is a fantastic evening for all ages.

New Town

Stockbridge is a village within the city known for its restaurants, cafes, pubs and artisan shops. It has a lovely river running through known as The water of Leith which has a foot path that you can follow either towards the Botanical Gardens or to Dean Village with its fantastic old buildings.
