The Edinburgh region
7 Gloucester Square is situated in the centre of Edinburgh. The UNESCO World Heritage Site at the heart of the city combines the medieval Old Town, the Georgian New Town and award winning modern architecture. Explore mysterious winding streets, elegant terraces and an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants.
Edinburgh hosts a huge range of events from the Rugby Internationals in the spring, to the Edinburgh Film Festival in June and the well known Edinburgh Festival, Fringe Festival and Book Festival in August.
The best way to see the city is to walk. There are many fantastic open spaces to enjoy from public parks and the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh to Arthur's Seat - a perfect hike to blow away the cobwebs on a Sunday morning.
The area has many historic towns and scenic villages, which are great for exploring. The coast of East Lothian is a particular draw with spectacular beaches and championship golf courses .
7 Gloucester Square is perfectly situated half way between Princes' St - Edinburgh's main street - and the 'village' of Stockbridge. Edinburgh's centre is bustling with great shops, fantastic art galleries and other places to visit. Edinburgh Castle dominates the skyline and is well worth a visit.
Stockbridge is a popular part of Edinburgh with lots of restaurants, bars and second hand shops. It has a very lively, young feel, while also retaining a very loyal, long standing community.
Gloucester Square itself is in the heart of the New Town. This Georgian masterpeice was designed and built in the 1700s and 1800s.

"Wonderful mews in an excellent central location."
Took my three kids to Edinburgh and stayed in this lovely, yet secluded, little house. Excellent location, with everything within walking distance. The accommodation was clean and welcoming. All of us loved the house. It came with everything you could possibly need for a visit from washing machine and tumble dryer to air dryer for me!

"Fantastic week in Edinburgh - great house, location and amenities"
We stayed with our three children (2, 6 and 9) - the accommodation worked extremely well. The house is well equipped and extremely comfortable. A short walk to all sorts of shops, cafes, pubs, bars and parks. Perfectly located for getting to all other bits of Edinburgh. We are already planning a return.

"Perfect place to stay for a week in Edinburgh"
We were staying in Edinburgh for one week to attend the Church of Scotland's General Assembly. & GS made a perfect place to stay - not too far from the centre of town, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Would definately recommend this accomodation to family groups and to groups of friends.

"This tasteful mews house was welcoming, convenient, clean and comfortablele, quiet"
My husband and I first went to the Edinburgh festival for honeymoon 41 years ago and have been going ever since, missing only a few years when our children were tiny. Consequently we have stayed in many different places in Edinburgh. This house was a gem and only a ten minute walk from Princes Street in a very quiet courtyard. We could have bought it ourselves - it was so delightful, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay there. We are booking it again for next year's festival!!
