Please don't ask about pets or one night stays) Situated on one of Bucks County's most fabled properties in the historic hamlet of Philips Mill, Pa. and just 1.5 miles from downtown New Hope, Pa. sits our private little English village "The Gothic English Village". Renowned Architect, Painter, Iron worker, and Wood worker, Morgan Colt built this extraordinary village at the turn of the century to be his residence. There are many great restaurants, art galleries, antiques stores and live music. Being that we are located on the canal, you can walk or ride your bikes on the towpath one mile into downtown New Hope, PA or Stockton, NJ. In Stockton there is an 'indoor' great farmers market which is open on weekends all year. New Hope is a famous river town that dates back before the revolution. For over 100 years, New Hope has been a well known art community. Another main attraction is the local 'Bucks County Playhouse which was home away from home to many of Hollywood's greatest stars in the 1940's and 1950's many of whom later made New Hope their home. Note: PLEASE don't inquire about one night stays.Other Activities: If you like shopping, then you'll love New Hope, Pa. Located just a 5 minutes down the road is Peddler's Village. It was originally built to look like a Colonial village with 80 unique quaint little shops dotted along the meandering herringbone brick walkways. All thoughout the shopping village are beautiful gardens with waterfall fountains and koi ponds. Great restaurants there too... and if thats not enough, you also have all the outlet stores just across the street!Also right nearby are two great flea markets for those who like to get up early on Tuesday or Saturday mornings to get the good stuff :-)We also have 8 wineries that give tours, one great art museum (Michener Art Museum) and two other museums which are castles: Font Hill Museum and Merser Museum. In addition to everything else, we have all kinds of historic tours you can take, boat rides on the river, a train ride on an old steam engine that takes you through the heart of Bucks County OR you can watch a local polo match...

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Eleanor/Kurt (the owner) a message.

    If Eleanor/Kurt (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
