Lochinvar holiday Lodge is a beautifully restored farmhouse situated in a stunning location on the banks of its own 85 acre loch ( fly fishing available to guests) in the heart of the Glenkens. Centrally located for the 7 stanes mountain bike centres and on a national cycling byway, it is ideal for cyclist as well as walkers, fishing enthusiasts and families. The Galloway activity centre and Loch Ken water ski club are only a few miles away on the banks of Loch Ken. Non motorised water activities are permitted on the private loch at Lochinvar Holiday Lodge.

The village of New Galloway is only three miles further down the road offering additional an village store and a selection of cafes/pubs as well as a very pretty 9 hole golf course. The market town of Castle Douglas is 20 miles away.

The entrance porch leads into the hallway from which there is a door to the cloakroom toilet, a magnificant lounge which has folding doors opening out onto the decking area and steps up to the open plan kitchen / family room. Leading off from the kitchen is a large utility room with washing maching and tumble dryer. There is also a steam/shower room in this area. Upstairs there are three bedrooms; the master bedroom with ensuite shower room, two twin bedrooms with Jack & Jill bathroom, one of which has two 3/4 size beds and the other has an additional fold down bed.

Outside there is a lovely decking area with magnificant views over the loch. The decking can be accessed from the kitchen and the lounge.

There are steps up from the decking which lead to a small sun trap with additional seating and BBQ. The property has its own entrance gate which leads into the back driveway with amply parking for 2/3 cars and a double garage.

The property is finished to a high standard with american style fridge freezer, electric range cooker, wine cooler and microwave in the kitchen. Digital televisions in the family room lounge and bedrooms and MP3 speakers in each of the bedrooms. There is also a steam room down stairs. Those with a concern for the environment may be interested to know that the property gets its energy from a ground source heat pump.

Situated north of Castle Douglas on the eastern fringe of the Galloway Forest Park, this unique are covering the Ken Valley consists of the small scenic villages of Balmaclellan, Carsphairn, New Galloway, St Johns Town of Dalry, Parton and Corsock. It is an oasis of natural beauty, an ideal base for a holiday in Scotland whether activity based of simply to relax and enjoy.

The area offers extensive outdoor pursuits: golfing, water skiing, sailing, fishing, hill walking, cycling, bird watching. Centrally located for the 7 stanes mountain bike centres and on a national cycling byway, it is ideal for cyclists as well as walkers, fishing enthusiasts and families. The Galloway activity centre and Loch Ken water ski club are only a few miles away on the banks of Loch Ken.

The area is rich in wild life. The loch attracts Swans, Grey Lag Geese, Grey Herons and is home to two Great Crested Grebes. We also have a local Barn Owl that frequents our garden. There are Eagles, Buzzards, Red Squirrels, Red Dear and even Stoats. The 'Galloway Red Kite Trail' around Lock Ken is only a few miles away
