Our old farmer house in the Ural mountains

Since more than 140 years our old farmer house defends against wind, rain, snow, heat and storm. it was one of the first houses in „gold digger village“ Bingi.

After two years of reconstruction we are very proud to offer farm hollidays for tourists. We think there is no other projekt like ours in Russia. Our house is a perfect place to discover the wonderfull Ural region by train, car, motorbike or bicycle - with guide or without - how You like!

But it is not only the right place for discoveries. If You like You can fish or swim in our river. Or enjoy the day and relax in the sun.

We are glad to see You in Russia!

Location description from owner

The Urals District

The Ural Mountains, or simply the Urals, are a mountain range that runs approximately from north to south through western Russia, from the coast of the Arctic Ocean to the Ural River and northwestern Kazakhstan. Their eastern side is usually considered the natural boundary between Europe and Asia. Vaygach Island and the islands of Novaya Zemlya form a further continuation of the chain to the north into the Arctic.

The mountains lie within the Ural geographical region and significantly overlap with the Ural Federal District and Ural economic region. They are rich in various deposits, including metal ores, coal, precious and semi-precious stones. Since the 18th century the mountains have been a major mineral base of Russia.

We are in the southern north part of the Urals. Here are mountains not very high (max. 800 m).

Nevyansk

Newjansk - BYNGI

Nevyansk is a town and the administrative center of Nevyansky District in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Neyva River on the eastern slope of the Middle Urals, 85 kilometers (55 mi) north of Yekaterinburg. Population is about 25.000.

History

The posad of Nevyansk was founded in 1701 due to the construction of a foundry and iron factory. It became highly important for the well-being of the Demidov family, which extracted gold from the local foothills. In the 18th century, Nevyansk was settled primarily by Old Believers, who commissioned from local artisans some glimmering, stylish icons which may be regarded as the last phase in the history of Russian icon-painting. As for the Demidovs, they commissioned the 60-meter (200 ft) high Leaning Tower of Nevyansk, which was erected sometime between 1725 and 1740 and remains the town's principal landmark and claim to fame. Up to today craftworkers produce icons for clients around the world.

BYNGI was founded 1704 and is located 4 km east of Newjansk at the river Neyva too. Population is about 2.150. Around the village are 8 goldmines (open pit).
