“Amazing location for getting out into the Cairngorms National Park”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2019

Backs on to woodland paths via a garden gate. Lots of great walks around the area. Dell forrest and Abernethy forrest really close by. Lock an Eilan, Boat of Garten, Granton on Spey only a short drive or bike ride. Well equipped cottage - there were only the two of us and our two westies who loved the place, but there is ample sleeping space for 9 people. We only used downstairs and really appreciated the king size bed, rain shower and well equipped kitchen/clean cooker. Couldn't find keys to open the conservatory windows so could only use this if the outside door was open, otherwise would have scored a 5. Enclosed garden great for dogs and children.

“Lovely location”

Lovely location and everything you will need. Roe deer, Red Squirrel, Crested Tit and Brambling visit the garden.

“ideal for large family group. children/dog-friendly.”

Great holiday accommodation. Very comfortable, relaxed . Air-source heating was interesting and worked well.Ideal location, just a short walk to shop. Secure garden was very useful for our dog. Lovely to have a gate into pine forest at end of garden. There is no longer a pond.

“Lovely woodland holiday house”

Stayed in nethybridge with family in 2 separate houses. This house was clean, well appointed, excellent large kitchen. We looked out on the forest where we watched red squirrels from the kitchen window.

“50th birthday celebrations”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2018

Thought the mouse was superb, lots of room for the 9 of us, fantastic large log burner which was the focus in the house and hreat heating and hot water system which you didn’t need to touch. House was really clean, bedding linen excellent and lots of towels for everyone. Kitchen was massive and superb and contained everything you could need. Could have done with more seating in the Lounge round the log burner and some small tables for snacking. Would def stay again.

“Excellent accommodation, perfect location”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2016

The house and surrounding area is beautiful. There was everything we needed for our group which consisted of seven adults (3 teenagers/young adults) and a dog. The walks out the back gate into the first was lovely. Very quiet area with no noise at any time of the day. Lots of additional things in the house, which included bikes and bbq. Parking was great for our four cars. The drive also accommodated our fifth car when the rest of the family came for a meal. Good community spirit in the village, and we attended the charity "beetle, drive" in the community hall where we were welcomed and had a great evening.

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review and your additional feedback which is always helpful. Nethy is just lovely and a special place.
