Recently decorated and refurnished first floor apartment 1E at the small and friendly complex of Edificio Pitufo. The apartment comprises two bedrooms with open plan lounge, dining and kitchen and a family bathroom, a balcony offers partial sea views. The apartment is well equipped with the additional benefit of air conditioning, wide screen TV, DVD player and free 10Mb Wi Fi. Edificio Pitufo has lift access to all floors, a communal rooftop pool and terrace area has fantastic views of both mountains and sea. Location is important at Nerja; situated at Carabeo, nestled between the town centre and the Parador Hotel, the apartment is ideal for both the beach, access to is which is just 40 metres away, or the Balcon de Europa which is a pleasant 5 minute walk along the charming, but more importantly flat and pedestrianized, Calle Hernando de Carabeo. No need to walk far at all with Carabeo's many restaurants and shops on the doorstep. The apartments ideal location means a car is not needed

Nerja, on the Costa del Sol, is a seaside resort of sandy coves sheltered by the impressive Sierra de Almijara mountains and often referred to as 'The Jewel of the Costa del Sol'. Ideal for family beach holidays and those looking for a more traditional and relaxed atmosphere.

A temperate climate means that Nerja is a great place to visit at any time of year. In fact may visitors prefer the mellow climate of early spring and late autumn.

The Balcon de Europa is the focal point of Nerja, affording magnificent views up and down the coast.

In the old quarter of town, typical small shops offer local craftworks and products of the area, including the sweet wine and olive oil, honey and tropical fruits. At the beach and fish restaurants you can enjoy the “pescaito frito” (fried fish), whilst the many international restaurants in town offer a wide variety of menus to suit all tastes.

The municipality of Nerja, which includes the village of Maro, has 9 kilometres of coastline, with numerous sandy coves and beaches in and around the town, Burriana Beach being the main one and most popular.

Nerja retains its traditional festivals: the Fair, Holy Week (Easter), the San Isidro pilgrimage and the festivals of San Juan and Día del Carmen are also celebrated in their own special way. There are a wide range of cultural events throughout the year.

Of particular note is the acclaimed “Nerja Caves Festival”, which takes place amongst stalactites and stalagmites, which were formed over millions of years. The Nerja Caves are currently the 3rd most visited monument in the whole of Spain.

For those looking for a more active holiday Burriana beach offers most water sports whilst Baviera Golf Resort is just 15 minutes drive away.
