Beautiful top-of-the-range raised-ground floor apartment. 90 sq.m. with huge living room; spacious balcony looking across the lovely secluded garden and pool to the sea and the Old Town and mountains beyond. The bedroom has a double bed with reading lights and fitted wardrobe; single futon. There's a double sofa bed in the sitting room. Plentiful storage. New kitchen.
The apartment is suitable for families, young people and senior citizens alike. Cots and high chairs are available by arrangement. Communal WiFi operates on a Pay-As-You-Go basis at normal local rates and there's a 42inch flat screen television.
Las Palmeras is on the edge of the Old Town, within walking distance of its many attractions. Yet just a few metres from the front door there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets (Spanish, Italian, French, Thai, Mexican, Brazilian and International). Beaches are a short walk away.
We have another one-bedroomed apartment a few yards away in Las Palmeras, No. 24, with similar views (look for it under Holiday Lettings Home Ref. 208987), in case you should want to have a holiday with friends or family, but don't want to be too much on top of each other or share their breakfast smells!

The Andalucia region
Nerja was originally a fishing village and the Old Town centre retains that charming character. Sample local tapas and wines in the innumerable bars and restaurants in the winding streets or on the magnificent Balcon de Europa, a magnificent wide palm-tree lined promenade which reaches down to the Mediterranean; it was so named by King Alfonso in the 19th Century when he paid a visit. On summer evenings, enjoy exciting Flamenco displays on the beaches and in the town. There are several beaches, the largest of which, Burriana, offers water sports (try scuba diving at Marina del Este, a few Km down the coast). Numerous festivals such San Juan in May and Fiesta del Carmen in June feature nightime bonfires and barbecues on the beaches and fireworks displays in the town. There are traditional Easter processions, and the January 5th (Three Kings) celebrations are a must for children.
Golf, sailing, fishing, horse-riding, ski-ing, walking and cycling. The Nerja Caves with their ancient stalagmites and stalactites are one of the top 5 attractions in Spain. For history lovers, the wondrous Alhambra Palace and the glories of Cordoba and Seville are a few hours' drive away, and you can make excursions to the Rock of Gibraltar and even Morocco.
The ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada are about 90 mins' drive away, and the region is famous for its international-standard year-round golfing facilities.
This is probably the most beautiful coastline of the Costa Del Sol. It boasts "The best climate in Europe"; many choose to spend their winters here, while others come for summer fun and family holidays.
Behind Nerja are the Alpujarras mountains and the fertile Axarquia area for walkers and cyclists to enjoy. Picturesque "pueblos blancos" (white villages) dot the hillsides. The nearest, Frigiliana, with its lovely views and charming little ceramics and textile shops, is about 5 Km inland and has won "The Most Beautiful Village in Spain" award.
