Our holiday home is ideal for adults and families, with a shared pool, parking / garage, and fully fitted for a relaxing break whether you want to eat out or self cater. It has a generous living / dining room with sylish furnishings and is centrally lit from the stairwell making the living area nice and bright. There is a fully fitted separate kitchen with electric oven and hob, washing machine and fridge/freezer. One double bedroom and one twin, both with fitted wardrobes providing ample storage space, a fully tiled bathroom with bath and shower plus ground floor toilet and washing facilities. Fuenstesol has a west facing private patio (sun from midday and into the evening) with awning, table and chairs, providing lovely views over the town, as well as towards the sea and mountains. As this is our family holiday home you'll find all the home comforts you need, including equipment to use by the pool or on the beach. Nerja is an all year round destination as it rarely rains: temperatures

Nerja is an all year round destination as it rarely rains: temperatures are moderate at their lowest, or 30 degrees plus in the summer months. The house is on a complex of just 26 houses, many of which are family homes, with a range of natonalities, so it is is fairly quiet. The site manager lives on site and our managers live nearby if there are any problems.
The owners at Fuestesol ensure that this complex is well maintained and peaceful for the enjoyment of all. We will provide you with a handbook giving suggestions of things to do in the area which will enhance your holiday if you have not been to Nerja before. There will also be a small welcome pack at no extra charge so you have some basics if you arrive late. If you would like some additional shopping we can arrange this, just let us know what you would like.
Smokers are welcome but smoking is allowed on balcony and roof terrace only not inside the house please.
Linen is changed once a week and we can provide you with a price for cleaning - just let us know.
Longer lets are welcome. From November to March each year we offer a special monthly rate of £550 if you want to spend winter in the sun. Please email for further details.

Our house is spacious and comfortable - a home from home but in the sun! The views are stunning - the Sierra de Tejeda on one side and the Med on the other - lovely. The sunsets are amazing. The double bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of storage space. The twin room has a small terrace which leads to the roof terrace via a staircase. The kitchen is great for home entertaining as you can make the best of all the fantastic local ingredients if you wish to cook. However, there are many and varied restaurants nearby if you want a meal out.The lounge is spacious and light with comfortable furniture for relaxing. There are DVD and CD players with a supply of films and music CD's for your use. The TV shows all the main English programmes.Whether you want to chill out at home or explore the pretty and vibrant town of Nerja, our house at Fuentesol is ideal.

We have a good sized (shared) pool with amazing views set in pretty, well established gardens. It is usually very quiet and great for a chilled afternoon in the sun.The garage provides you with secure parking if you have a car. Please note that there is a steep driveway to the house so probably not suitable for people with very limited mobility.

The Costa del Sol region
Fuentesol a great location for exploring the area. We recommend visiting Frigliana's Thursday market, a delightful white town nestling in the mountains, or a trip to the famous caves ( there is a good bus service from the bus station to do this if you don't have a car). A trip to La Herrundura for lunch on the beach is a contrast to Nerja and a wonderful drive through the coastal national park area. Granada is just over a hours drive away and well worth a trip (there are organised trips from Nerja - the booking office is near Burriana Beach - 7 minutes away). Nearby there are golf courses, and a Donkey Sanctuary. Malaga City with its lovely architecture, beaches and shops is a mere 50 minutes drive or bus ride away. There is almost too much too do on a short holiday in this area - you will want to return to see all that Andalucia has to offer!
Nerja is nestled between the mountains and sea with the world famous Balcon de Europa providing a stunning plaza in the centre of town. The town was a centre of fishing and sugar cane plantations in the past, but now it has everything you want for a seaside holiday with many beaches, from the magnificent Burrinna beach with its beach bars barbaqueing fish, to the many smaller beaches in coves below the cliffs on which the town sits. The town centre is full of narrow pedestrianised streets with a huge choice of restaurants with prices to match your budget. There are also many shops and cafes which are used by both locals and holidaymakers giving it a real Spanish feel. Our house is to the east of the town on a hillside, which provides with those lovelly views over the old town, a glorious red sunset nearly every night, and in the spring the swifts soar across the sky catching insects. At Burrianna beach there is everything you need from beach equipment, shops, restraurants (many nationalities), bars (both Spanish and English), the famous Ayo's restraurant serving paella and traditional dishes (although all the beach bars serve similar food), and in the evening there are a few chill-out bars to sip a drink in the balmy evening heat.A little up the hill is the Nerja Club Hotel which has entertainment most evenings, a 'happy hour' and a stunning terrace with views out to sea. Just beyond this is a large supermarket for all your supplies, as well as the sports centre, indoor swimming pool and tennis club.The town itself is a short walk away, and if you need to quench your thirst on the way there is a bar on nearly every corner. Its fascinating to walk through the narrow streets, past peoples homes, and the many shops and restraurants that attract visitors and locals alike, it's so cosmopolitan! The Balcon de Europa is a delight, enjoy a drink or meal there in the evening with the beautiful floodlit church and many buskers and entertainers.For those that are adventerous, there is a scuba diving centre, and canoe hire at Burriana.The Nerja Today website has a lot of useful information http://www.nerjatoday.com/

A fantastic, well maintained apartment in a quiet part of town, but within easy reach of the nearest beach and a range of restaurants and bars. The apartment was very well equipped and the welcome pack was indeed welcome as we arrived late at night. The grounds are clean and we usually had the pool area to ourselves in early June. We wouldn't hesitate to return. A great holiday!

“Great house, well equipped, good location, nice area.”
We stayed Casa Kaira for 11 nights with two older teenagers. The house was well equipped with all you need for a holiday in the sun. The availability of sunbeds and beach equipment was a great advantage. It was close to the beach, a 5 minute walk down hill, but one of the disadvantages was the 15 minute walk back up hill. The garage is of benefit provided you have a small car as it is tight to get into. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Casa Kaira for a family holiday as long as you're mobile.

We do mention in our details that the house is not suitable for people with reduced mobility (some people drive to and from the beach which is easier now there is a brand new multi-stori car park). “Gorgeous apartment that became "the hub" of our family holiday!”
Delighted with our stay at Casa Kaira - apartment was big, bright, airy, very clean and decorated to a high standard. Roomy balcony overlooking the pool and Nerja. Bedrooms a great size and good night sleeps had by all. Five minute walk to beach and loads of beach side restaurants, five minutes to a choice of two supermarkets (supersol our fav!). Rooftop sun deck is an added bonus and peaceful sun trap. The welcome pack on arrival a lovely and most welcome touch. Highly recommend this apartment.

Stayed for 9 weeks February to April 2014. Casa Kaira is on a nicely maintained complex in a good location on the quiet eastern side of town. 10 minutes to a beach, a short walk to the town and market and 5 minutes to supermarkets, 2 hotels (both with happy hours and free wifi), tennis club and the local bus. Casa kaira is spacious, comfortable, clean and well maintained, perfect for short or long stays and exactly as described by the owners. The small welcome pack is a nice touch, much appreciated. The balcony is a great place to enjoy lovely views across the town to the sea and of the mountains, especially in the evening sunshine. The access drive to the complex is rather steep and garage access a bit restricted. Plenty of parking on the road outside. Wifi is available in the apartment for a charge but is free in local hotels and cafes. Pool area is attractive but closed until 1st April so we didn't use it. Being winter it was quite cold in the apartment, but the air con can be used as heating and there is a portable heater. The kitchen was quite well equipped, just missing a microwave which is now in situ. Nerja is a lovely town in a great position to enjoy both sea and mountains and to explore some of the attractive towns further east. It's a super place and we had a great time with the bonus of beautiful weather almost every day.
“Very enjoyable stay, couldn't fault it”
We stayed at Casa Kaira for a week with our two year old. We had rented at Fuentosol before so new the area. Casa Kaira catered for everything you would look for when renting an apt. Very attentive owners, apt v clean and well equipped. Balcony has wonderful views overlooks the pool area so close when you are going for a dip/sun bathe. V handy info pack provided on booking re transport/directions and also in the apt when you arrive details lots if local attractions and recommendations. There is a hill from beach to apt but majority of Nerja accommodation is located the same, its the overall nature of the area and provides wonderful views and sunsets.

“Great for Winter Breaks”
We stayed for two weeks in November which made a great break from the British grey wet days prior to Christmas (temps as high as 25deg some days although much cooler in the evenings). The apartment was beautifully spacious, uncluttered, clean and modern with a great roof terrace for sunbathing all day as well as a balcony which captures the afternoon/evening sun. We had a hire car and found the garage space very useful too. We enjoyed walking down to the beach front and to Nerja to shop or visit cafes/restaurants. The walk for us was fine - the last little bit is quite steep but keeps you fit. In November the area around the apartment was nice and quiet (just what we wanted) however the pool was closed (Oct to April) but looked very inviting. The gardens and pool area are exceptionally well maintained by an on-site lady caretaker. All in all a good base for exploring the area (the hill villages of Frigiliana and Competa are well worth a visit and we also spent a wonderful two days in Granada - about 1.5 hours by car). Malaga is a comfortable one hour drive.
“Lovely, comfortable apartment with amazing views”
We spent a very comfortable 9 days at the apartment. The apartment is very well equipped, and we found everything we needed. Bed and sofa very comfortable. The views from the apartment's balcony are superb, and a great place to sit and watch the sun set with a glass of wine! The pool is very clean, and at the time we visited, it was very quiet. Nerja itself is a lovely town, with plenty of good restaurants and cafes, and people seemed very friendly. The only downside is the walk back up the hill to the apartment, but anyone with even moderate fitness would manage it without too much of a problem. The first few days of our visit was Nerja's Feria (festival) - if you visit at this time, be prepared to get involved in the very late night/early morning festivities, as the music is pretty loud late into the night. If you're there at this time, go with the philosophy of "if you can't beat them, join them!". All in all, this is a fabulous apartment in a lovely unspoilt Spanish time, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and we hope to go back.
Thanks for the great review and we are glad you enjoyed our 'place in the sun'! Regarding the walk to the house, downhill to beach and then uphill back (obviously!) I think it is manageable apart for people who have walking difficulties. I'm not very fit but after a few days do the walk easily. If people have a car (which many do) that also makes it all the easier. Taxis are cheap and plentiful for getting to and from town but not always necessary. Thanks again.
