Blackberry Cottage is one of a pair of beautiful, newly built detached cottages with quality fittings and furnishings. Both cottages are available and very similar in design. The other cottage is called Primrose and is listed separately ( ref 413645 ).There are 3 bedrooms 2 with en-suites and a separate family bathroom. A comfortable open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area creates a spacious and light interior. Kitchen equipment etc for self catering to the best standard. A cosy open fire and full central heating ensure comfort all year round.We also have a travel cot, high chair and baby bouncer for baby up to 6 mths and small collection of baby toys, plus board games and DVDs for older children.The tranquil location of these cottages provides privacy without remoteness. Found situated approx 1 mile from the magnificent Lough Derg, Ireland's second largest lake with shores in Clare, Galway and N. Tipperary. The area attracts water sports enthusiasts and there are numerous quays dotted along less than 1 mile away which include Coolbawn Quay, the popular wedding venue and spa.Fishing is popular along the Shannon and lake. Private angling and boating are available locally. Canoes and buoyancy aids can be made available for the use of our guests at our own discretion i.e to experienced canoeists.Hikers and walkers enjoy exploring the local Cominchas Forest and numerous winding country lanes. Nenagh, the historic local town is 10 miles away with a choice of eateries, a variety of shops, local arts centre and cinema. The local village of Kilbarron is 5 minutes away by car where you will find Hannigan's shop and pub.Nenagh is also home to the highly recommended and beautifully landscaped Nenagh Golf Club. 15 mins drive away is Portumna which boasts a range of activities including water sports, golf, horse riding and go-karting.

Why can't I call Alison (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alison (the owner) a message.

If Alison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
