Description

Aroha Cottage is situated halfway between Nelson and Abel Tasman National Park.

With a new kitchen and bathroom, cosy wood burner for winter, fabulous private garden, huge deck, quiet beach and free wifi, it is perfect for couples and overseas tourists.

The cottage is only 50 meters from Kina Beach, awake to the sound of waves and start the day down at the beach watching the sunrise over Tasman Bay.

We also have our local Tasman store for local wine, olive oil and basic supplies and New Zealand's Café of the year winner within walking distance.

Perfectly positioned for visiting both Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, famous for its great walks and stunning scenery.

Kina Beach is only a 25minute drive from Nelson airport.

“Perfect location and wonderful cottage, gardens, great for relaxing.”

The location was brilliant for Abel Tasman, Nelson and nearby facilities. Great for walking and cycling, or just relaxing. The cottage was really comfitable with all amenities ...and wifi available too. The hosts were great, making sure we were comfitable and enjoying our stay in their lovely cottage and gardens. Restaurants, beaches and wineries were all within the locality. Great holiday accomodation.

“Beautiful and well appointed getaway cottage”

I took my young daughter and friend for a few days, and we were so happy with this beautiful cottage. Perfect location for heading off to both Nelson and Kaiteriteri, or just hanging out in Mapua. The cottage is very well equipped and exceptionally presented. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are quite steep, so for preschoolers it might pay to use the downstairs bedroom. Stunning garden, my daughter and I had fun picking blackberries. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Aroha Cottage for a small week. And we really loved it. Everything you need for a great stay is available. The garden is very beautiful and private. If the weather is nice (which in our case it was) it's great to eat outside or just enjoy the sound of the birds and the sea in the background. We definitely recommend Aroha Cottage. You won't regret going there.

Aroha Cottage is cute, charming, spotlessly clean, equipped with everything and more, set in a fabulous garden and literally seconds from the beach. Seriously, what more could you wish for. Its in the heart of the tourist sights of the area so a perfect base especially to venture into The Abel Tasman Park which is well worth a visit.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Lou (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
