The Bayeux Tapestry world famous historical documents (detailing the Saga of William the Conqueror) and more recently the invasion beaches ,war cemetreies and museums of the D-Day landings. Nehou has a small museum Re:- General Patton who was based in our village for 2nd world war. The famous Mt. Saint Michel Abbey is worth a visit.Visitors can enjoy the local markets and festivals of products of land and sea . The weekly market at nearby Bricquebec is said to be the largest and most popular in the Cotentin area, and a local saying has it that all roads lead to the town dominated by a magnificent castle where William the Conqueror, Queen Victoria and even Field Marshal Rommel have stayed. The nearby coast boasts the highest cliffs in Europe with spectacular views across to the Channel Islands, and many cafe bars and restaurants in the picturesque yet working fishing villages offer their harvest straight from the sea and on to a plate!
