Have you ever dreamed of taking to the canals in a lovely narrowboat, floating peacefully amongst the splendour of our idyllic countryside? Well now you can…

Our lovely 58ft narrowboat, ‘Adele Marie’ is available for hire from September 2015. You can hire for a short week or weekend or for a week or more. You have all the comforts of home from our well equipped galley with gas oven and hob, a lovely bathroom with shower (and flushing loo which you DONT need to empty) and sleeping for up to 6 people. We have 240v power on board for certain items, (used at your own risk). There is a comfortable lounge area with wood burning stove, sofabed and TV/DVD and radio/CD player. Not that you should need to watch too much TV with the glorious countryside views from every window.

Pets are welcome...(dogs love it...) and children of all ages will have a fantastic time. There really is something for everyone.

So…what’s stopping you. Check the calendar for availability of our narrowboat for hire and then email your preferences to us and we’ll contact you straight away to confirm. Our narrowboat is based at Nantwich Marina, near the start of the lovely Llangollen canal. It is easily accessible and the marina has long term secure parking facilities.

The location gives access to some fantastic canals and places to visit, such as Ellesmere, Market Drayton, Chester, Middlewich (near the famous Anderton Boatlift) and Llangollen, (a favoured route for Harrison Ford apparently) which is known for the famous and historic Llangollen Railway.

For the more experienced and adventurous narrowboaters, there is no limit. Even London can be reached by canal.

Narrowboating is fun for all the family…whether it’s a chilled out break for 2 or an adventure holiday for families and children, there’s something for everyone. The kids will love being involved with working the locks (under supervision of course), plotting the route and maybe helping to steer. They’re almost guaranteed a good night’s sleep after all that fresh air.

When you arrive our fully trained staff will meet you and assist you aboard and show you round. When you are settled in, we will spend time with you going through everything on board and answering any questions you may have...and then we will head out together to help you get a feel for things. If needed, we will stay with you until the first lock to help you through.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Martin (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
