Description

Sticky's Place is ideally situated in the heart of Cornwall close to the market town of St Austell in the semi rural historic Cornish clay mining village of Nanpean and is AVAILABLE 365 DAYS A YEAR at very competitive rates.

The village is easily accessible from the A30 and would suit those who are seeking a rambling holiday break, or just a quiet weekend away to view and experience some lovely Cornish countryside and places to visit, which are within easy reach by short journeys by car or on foot for those who enjoy walking.

The accommodation consists of UPVC double glazing throughout, and the entrance leads to a cosy open plan lounge area comprising of a double sofa bed (3ft 8 ins mattress), wall mounted flat screen freeview TV with DVD player with over 60 TV channels, VHF radio with iPod docking station, electric wall mounted heating system and a log effect electric fire, the lounge is carpeted. The hot tub is no longer available for guests but for use by the proprietors only. The Holiday Lettings site no longer allows us to use a guest book section, so you can see what a good time people have had in the cottage, they prefer the Trip Advisor Reviews but guests are often too busy when they get home to fill them in and so we are putting some of our guest comments below.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Stickys Place whilst attending a family wedding. We where welcomed by the very friendly owners who gave us a lovely welcome hamper. The accommodation was excellent value for money and surpassed our expectations. We travelled with our two small children and there was plenty of room for us all. We will be visiting again! Thank you!

Enjoyed our short stay in this pleasant little cottage. Cosy, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Very helpful owners. Just needs proper WiFi access to make it complete.

Owner's reply: We do have WiFi in the main house but due to thick granite walls it can not be reached in the cottage. However all guests have 24/7 access to the conservatory where the WiFi can be utilised.

I booked Sticky's Place for a week's break with my boyfriend. Honestly, as well as the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, we chose Sticky's as it was a more affordable option and seemed to be a good location for visiting different parts of Cornwall. We weren't disappointed!! I had been a bit apprehensive as the cottage is located in the back garden of the owners' house but I needn't have worried as the main message that came across when we were greeted by our excellent hosts was to make ourselves feel at home while we were there and not to be afraid to ask for anything at all. The cottage is small but perfectly formed and provided very comfortable accommodation for our 7 night stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom furniture offered ample space for us to unpack everything and really settle in. A folder in the cottage gave a comprehensive guide on local restaurants, places to visit and instructions on how to use the equipment in the cottage. Our favourite part however has to be the outdoor hot tub. We were allowed to use this whenever we wanted to, within reason, and it really was a treat! The location of Sticky's was perfect. Although there is not much in Nanpean itself, the cottage is only a short drive from the town of St. Austell and only 1.5 hour approx drive to Lands End so it wasn't too far from anywhere. We didn't use them ourselves but there were also bus services with stops located very nearby. Our hosts were extremely kind and welcoming and although they left us to enjoy our holiday without interruption, they were always more than happy to help us when we had any questions about Sticky's or the area. Sticky's offered a comfortable stay, value for money and a personal touch we wouldn't have experienced in other accommodation. We would definitely like to visit again and have already recommended you to our friends. Thank you!

We felt very welcomed at Sticky's place, we were provided with everything we needed and more! The cottage was cosy and very clean, we loved the welcome pack that we were given, it was a very kind gesture! The location was perfect, we loved the hot tub and we would definitely visit again!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lorinda (the owner) a message.

If Lorinda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
