The second bedroom is a single bedroom with build in wardrobes, good sized for child or additional adult. We can supply travel cot or camp bed for additional children - we can also supply high chair, pushchair and baby bath for those travelling with small children if needed.

The enclosed garden is on two levels, the lower level has a table and benches and BBQ for outdoor dining (there are also sun loungers stored inside for use in the nice weather ) and a small sand pit table for the wee ones and the upper level is grass and has a washing line.

There is a driveway for parking of one vehicle.

There is a small shop in the village that is open 7 days and is a 2 minute walk from the cottage and Sainsburys is only a mile away in nearby Nairn.

The nearest train station is in Nairn and there are buses that run into Auldearn regularly. The nearest airport is Inverness which is approx 12 miles away.

“A Hidden Gem on the Moray Firth”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2015

When booking holiday accommodation we look for a fresh, well equiped, warm & comfortable cottage/apartment, in quiet surroundings and with good local shops and easy access to local attractions/destinations. Alba Cottage, in Auldearn, by Nairn on the Moray Firth provided all this, and more. Beautifully decorated and equiped with everything you could want, peaceful enough to hear the local wildlife, and close to a local store and to a supermarket in Nairn plus the fast A96 which took us easily west to Inverness & The Black Isle and east to the many beaches & villages dotted along the Moray coast. In the evenings it was a pleasure to return to this cosy cottage to recharge at the end of each day. Golf addicts are spoilt for choice with two courses in Nairn (Nairn Dunbar is the cheaper, and a gem), Forres, Elgin and Moray Old at Lossiemouth to the east plus numerous courses to the north including Fortrose, Tain, Brora and Dornoch. Alba Cottage is a hidden gem which we would highly recommend for accommodation in this beautiful part of Scotland
