“Amazing house in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2015

Had a brilliant week with family, house was exceptional, fully loaded with everything you could need. Stunning location, very peaceful and quiet. Close enough to Aviemore and Inverness without being stuck in a city. Kids loved the games room and walking in the woods.

“Wow”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2015

A holiday home that lives up to its expectations. To get away from it all, fresh air, peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. The house itself is amazing, spacious with good quality furnishings. The games room is an added bonus for the whole family, either to send the children alone, or to go join in the fun. It certainly worked for us being a family with 5 children 1-11yrs enjoying the outdoor life yet can jump in the car and in no time be on the beach or shopping in Inverness, great connection for A9 to see the beauty of the Highlands. There is nothing not to like about staying in Cluain House it lives up to a 5 star rating, from the professional staff at Highland Holiday Home staff being on hand for every enquiry, the welcome pack was a nice touch. The overall experience meant we had a wonderful holiday, only wish we could visit the highlands more often. Certainly would go back and strongly recommend it to others. Worth every penny.

“All it says on the tin......”

The house did not disappoint in any way. Beautifully secluded with great outside areas for general play. Good wifi connection for those who require it. Poor mobile signal but small price to pay. You do need to get in the car to go anywhere, although good forest walk away from the house. Lots to visit in the area. Would add to those listed in the guide book to the local area a place called Logie Steading. About a half hour drive, but good place for lunch, some shopping and riverside walk all on site. For eating in Nairn, would recommend The Classroom and also we had very good Indian food from The Royal Bengal as a takeaway. well package to retain heat during 20 min drive back to house from Nairn. lovely holiday altogether.

“Wonderful ruby anniversary at Cluain House”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2015

Fantastic stay everything was great. Company, weather, palatial surroundings inside and out. Could not fault it in any way. We celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with our immediate family, daughters, their husbands and of course our wonderful grandchildren. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting luxury accommodation, peaceful surroundings, safe play area for kids and plenty of space for them to run around. Forest walks on your doorstep and nature all around you. Wheelchair access was fantastic in the house with plenty of space to get around all ground floor rooms with a wheelchair. Outside was not too good due to lots of gravelled areas. But you can't have everything. Could be solved with a few paving slabs from ramp to grassy areas along side of house. It would then be a fabulous disabled friendly house and garden.

“fantastic weekend”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2015

We stayed Cluain House for 4 nights at the start of March. It's only 150 or so meters along a rough track but feels perfectly secluded within the forest. The house is stunning from the outside and just as stunning within. It really was an excellent relaxing weekend which was helped by the wood burning stove in the living room and and a fair amount of red wine. The whole house is of a very high standard and very spacious inside. It would be a perfect suntrap in summer for barbeques due to it being surrounded by forest. We will definitely be back as it is perfect for a get away with family or friends. The directions given by the owners are very good but read them carefully as it is easy to miss the turning at the red post box if your are not paying attention.

“Can't wait to go back!”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2015

We all loved our stay at Cluain House! The house itself is remote enough to be a Highland hideaway but with all the amenities you would need a short drive away. Plus it is well situated to get out about seeing what the local area has to offer. We really liked how modern and spacious the house was, and it was great to get the wood burner on to make the place feel really cosy in the evenings. We hope to go back again sometime, either with friends or family, hopefully in summer so we can make more use of the decent sized garden areas. Would definitely recommend this place!

“The Cluain House was perfect for us”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2014

Most important, to me, when I'm vacationing: cleanliness, comfort, location, setting, well equipped kitchen Cluain House had all of this, it was a super comfortable "base" for exploring the Highlands. Furniture, beds, appliances, linens-- all seem new. The house is surrounded by lovely flowers, shrubs, trees, and is situated in lush woods. The owner responded promptly to all correspondence. We also enjoyed a 10% discount offered on their Facebook page. There was a restaurant nearby we enjoyed so much, we went twice--dinner at Sunny Brae Hotel. The food was excellent, the service was stellar. Also, Darcy's, just down the road in Cawdor, was great for tea & scone.

“Absolutely fantastic”

There is not more that can be written! The house, the garden and the facilities were absolutley fantastic. Everything was spotless. I can only recommend this lovely house!

“Luxury house, great spot, fantastic service”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2014

I would highly recommend a stay at Cluain House. The house is large and fitted out to a very high standard with everything you could need. A secluded spot with plenty nearby. Good communication throughout the whole booking process.
