From the owner

An idyllic 19th Century cottage in the rolling and picturesque hills of the Cotswold's. The cottage is the middle of 3 former farm cottage, situated between the town of Nailsworth and Horsley. This two bedroom cottage is perfect for a relaxing break or extended holiday exploring the area.

Dogs/Pets are welcome on prior agreement (we will charge a £20 per pet, per stay fee in order to cover any extra cleaning that may be required).

Children of all ages are welcome, but please be aware that we do not provide any baby/child equipment (e.g. cot, high chair or Stair gate).

The downstairs comprises of 1 room, with a Kitchen dinner at one end and a sitting area at the other. The Kitchen includes electric cooker, hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge with a freezer compartment.

The sitting area has a 3 seater sofa, one armchair and a rocking chair. In front of a coffee table and wood burner. The TV/DVD player is located on a cabinet in the corner of the room and has BBC iPlayer and Netflix (you will require your own NetFlix subscription to access).

We provide you with a complimentary basket of wood to enjoy a fire during your stay.

Upstairs are two bedrooms complete with king-size beds (the second bedroom has a day bed that can be used as a single or king-size bed - please note there is no option to use this as two single beds). Wardrobe space and bedside tables are available in both rooms.

The bathroom has a toilet, basin, bath and shower (over the bath).

The following are included in the rental: Wood for 1 fire, unlimited internet access, bed linen, bath towels, hand towels, tea towel, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, Washing up liquid, hand soap, Tea and Coffee.

Minimum stay is for 3 nights

We want you to feel safe and be able to relax and enjoy your stay at Middle Cottage and so we have carried out a risk assessment of Middle Cottage in relation to Covid-19 and have taken the following steps to minimise any risk of infection:

We recommend that you only book/visit Middle Cottage with people from your own household or those you are in a bubble with as it is a self-catering property where you will all need to share facilities such as the kitchen and bathroom, it is also a small cottage where social distancing could be difficult in some areas.

We will keep a record of all guests and contractors to visit the property and ask that anyone who feels unwell after visiting informs us so that we can contact anyone else who could be affected.

We are allowing a minimum of 2 days between lets and the cottage will be thoroughly cleaned between each let including all surfaces, handles, keys, crockery/cooking items. All non-essential items likely to be regularly touched (for example magazines, games, vases, cushions, throws and some kitchen items) have been removed from Middle Cottage for now.

Hand Sanitiser has been provided in the kitchen and bathroom.

Cleaning wipes and disposable gloves have been left at the cottage for guests use (on a high shelf in the kitchen so they are out of reach to children).

Thank you for the lovely review, I’m really glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. I’m so sorry you had problems with the shower, we have now resolved this - unfortunately the stopcock (which has to be turned off in certain months if Middle Cottage is unoccupied for insurance purposes) had not be turned up enough resulting in low water pressure affecting the showers performance. If you are every in a similar position again I would definitely recommend contacting the owner at the time, mainly because it could be an issue they can sort out for you straight away. Also because we do not see your reviews until a few weeks after your stay and it’s very useful for us to know of any issues that need attention as soon as possible. Many thanks and we would love to welcome you back again if you would like to stay in the future.

How do damage deposits work?

If Alison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
