“Excellent gite - Lovely owners”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2016

Very combortable clean and tidy gite, and well equiped. Excellent facilities in the complex too. We went with teenagers, but for a family with young kids it would be just as perfect, as the gardens and pool area are very safe (lock with key, and alarm in both pools). Good base to tour the area. Only disadvantage in my view was that the washing machine was communal and had to be paid extra per wash (3 euros a go).

“Fantastic family fun”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2013

My wife, myself and our 2 daughters stayed here in July 2012 and loved it so much we are returning in 2013- something we have never done before! We wanted self- catering without the isolation (and expense) of our own villa and without the chaos and caravans of Eurocamp. We have found it. Fantastic accommodation- spacious, well equipped and with 2 private terraces and lovely grounds for children to run and play in- including swing set, pool, boules etc. location is fab as not too touristy for the dordogne but within easy reach if main sites. Host have perfect mix of friendly whilst respecting privacy.

“Wonderful Holiday”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2012

When arrived with our daughter and grandaughter aged three - "Wow" was the first word spoken. Beautiful surroundings large gardens, large swimming pool plus paddling pool, Trampoline and swings - lots of older children too such as basket ball, table tennis and boules for the oldies!!. The pool had plenty of loungers although we had it to ourselves for most of the stay. The cottage was spacious clean and extremely well equipped with everything we required. The little extras like washing up liquid , dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc were very welcome as was the wine!! We had a large shady terrace with barbeque and had most meals outside - apart from one rainy day that is when English TV and DVD came in very useful. The owners Beverely and David were very helpful friendly. We hope to be back in the near future, our grandaughter summed it up for all of us "can we stay here forever and ever" I only wish....

“Lovely property and very welcoming owners”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2012

We stayed in the message blue end cottage which was full of character and had nice terraces outdoors. The facilities on site are great for a young family, good sized pool and large grounds that are well tended and with lots of room for our boys to roam around. Owners are very helpful and approachable and they have extensive local knowledge and contacts.

“Helpful Owners”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2012

A great place to stay; our cottage was part of a larger complex with all facilities & large grounds & gardens to meander round. The property was well situated as long as you had a car to get to various scenic villages & attractions. Outstanding owners ( on site ) who went more than the extra mile to help us with our car problems - nothing was too much trouble for them. Les Espioles is right near a little village & a short drive to a major town.

“A Little Piece of Heaven in France”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2011

The owners’ description and photographs do not fully do justice to the idyllic and wonderful location of these properties... the reality is far better! Mr and Mrs Fink and family are attentive but not intrusive hosts. They are there when you need them and are always willing and able to assist. “Our” gite was well presented on arrival (and came with a handy bottle of wine!) and we soon felt right at home. Properties are extremely well equipped to make your holiday as effortless and carefree as possible. Grounds are pretty and well maintained with plenty of games equipment for all ages and play areas for children. The pool is very safe being both fenced and alarmed. The surrounding area is rural France at its best. It is quiet and peaceful and is ideal for a relaxing holiday. There are several large towns and markets within easy travelling distance and numerous attractions to suit all tastes. There is a hotel/restaurant approx 500 metres down the lane serving excellent food at a reasonable price. We normally take at least two holidays a year in France and although we have enjoyed all of them we have never rebooked except here.... which must prove something! Cannot wait for 2012!
