Our appartments are located at the seaside suburb of Mitilini called Varia, only 150 metres from the sea. Varia is a spectavular green place just 2 kilometres away from the town of Mitilini and 4 kilometres from the “Odysseas Elitis” airport. Walking on the quiet streets of Varia, visitors can enjoy the beautiful neoclassic buildings harmonically bount with contemporary constructions that perfectly match the history and architecture of the place. The picturesque small local port that serves the needs of professionals and fishermen offers an amazing view, while the seaside road is ideal for nice walks.
The Aegean Sea lying on your feet and the view of the small Turkish villages across the coast complete the beautiful scenery canvas. There are plenty of minimarkets open 7 days a week, a traditional bakery, a pharmacy, traditional and modern cafes and plenty of taverns located on the Varia coast. You will also find the “must to visit” Museum of Theofilos & Eleftheriadis-Teriant with a great painting collection of Greek and international artists.

In the same place, built with the traditional stone of the island, there are two traditional stone ovens and a barbecue.
The apartments include a parking spot, wi-fi internet connections and breakfast buffet (extra charge) in a specially equipped room. The apartments are cleaned-up daily. We can inform you about excursions and activities on request, in one of the most beautiful islands of the Aegean, Lesvos.
Lesvos is the third-largest island, after Crete and Evia, and has a picturesque and constantly changing scenery. To the west, the lunar-like plains give way to the long sandy beaches and salt marshes in the centre of the island, while in the east side dominate ever green forested mountains and thick olive groves.[around 11 million live trees.]
The town capital, Mytilini, is a vivid port which abounds in both ouzeris and nightlife. The island's accommodation is adequate and satisfactory enough, while the north coast town of Molyvos [Mythimna] with its much obliging treat, promises to meet every visitor's (email hidden)s old quaint and traditional houses stacked and pinned on winding lanes overlooking the sea, seem to have just popped out of a fairy tale. Lesvos also takes pride in its cultural attractions which vary from contemporary museums to Byzantine monasteries.
Lesvos is surely one of the most prosperous Greek islands thanks to both its touristic appeal and its local olive-oil production. These two assets along with its ouzo and wine produce make the island particularly famous worldwide.
The endless opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and birdwatching surely make Lesvos popular with nature lovers. Its therapeutic and relaxing hot springs are also something that Lesvos is proud of.
The island of Lesvos has also to show a huge cultural legacy which dates back from the 7th century until nowadays. The musical composer Terpander, the poet Arion along with the Nobel Prize-winning poet Odysseas Elytis and primitive painter Theofilos are all of them indigenous personalities. The prominent philosophers Aristotle and Epicurus also used to have an academy here in Lesvos. However, Sappho seems to be the most distinguished Lesbian figure which, in turn, entrances and finally leads lesbians from all over the world to Scala Eressou, her seaside hometown, to the west of Lesvos.[630 B.C]
Lesvos never sleeps and that is because of the incessant life all year round which is instilled not only by the island's nature, but also by its university students who literally inundate the island while they enjoy a top quality education in University of Aegean.
