Description

Norfolk Beach House, stunning sea views - Meadow House is a delightful Manor House (with Flemish design influences), with parts dating back to the 16th century. The house has a stunning cliff top position over the sea in the village of Mundesley and direct beach access from the private garden.

Meadow House provides the ideal self-catering seaside retreat for private hire. The house sleeps 14 and features stunning sea views and is ideal for family holidays, relaxing weekends with friends, reunions, hen weekends & special birthdays, all set in a quiet and tranquil Norfolk village.

Superbly located just 5-minute walk from the heart of the village and 200 meters from the beach via the coastal path from the back gate, it provides the ideal base to discover North Norfolk.

The house is perfectly suited as a winter (log fires, country walks, local pubs) or summer (beach life, BBQ's, summer fetes) retreat for a maximum of 14 guests.

The house is furnished to a very high standard. Downstairs is a large entrance conservatory and large inner hall leading to a large sitting/dining room furnished in a beach-house style with a mixture of period furniture and contemporary pieces by local artists. There is a second 'cosy' drawing room with open log fire and antiques. A third and mini cini room has a huge tv, dvd player and xbox. The simple traditional kitchen has a large pantry, an original Aga and an additional cooker, this extends to a garden room with seating for 14 for supper. The house has a large 1/3 acre garden with trampoline, hot tub spa area, table tennis, BBQ and direct beach access. We have off-road parking for 4-5 cars, but please not on the lawn.

Meadow House has been our family holiday home for over 10 years and it's often described by guests as more of a home than a holiday home, with everything you need for a perfect beachside holiday summer or winter. We have collected antiques, art and curios over the years to make the perfect getaway home from home. We are right on the beach path with stunning sea views and have a huge garden. We are Simon and Talia of Wiltshire with a large family of 5 and we love sharing Meadow with guests.

“Brilliant”

A wonderful home, very comfortable with plenty of room for my husband and I with my brother, niece and nephew with partners, grandchildren and aunt. Plenty of room for everyone without ever being on top of each other. Lovely cliff walks from the garden and lots of local shops both in Mundesley and close by. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, and despite it being late October, the weather was sunny and fairly warm. We are now all converted to cooking with an Aga - it was so easy.

The very well equipped house was perfect for our extended family of 14. It has a welcoming and homely feel to it, is near to the village and beach, and there is plenty to do in the area for all age groups. We voted it one of the best houses we have rented!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
