Description from owner

Description

CaribbCay is our holiday chalet, it really is a home from home, situated on the Links chalet park in the picturesque village of Mundesley which was featured on Location, Location, Location on Tuesday 21 January 2014. Mundesley has all your local amenities but remains an unspoilt English village with beautiful blue flag sandy beach. The location of CaribbCay is an ideal base to explore the North Norfolk coast and the Broads. Or, just relax. Once again for season of 2019 blue flag beaches in Mundesley, Sheringham, Cromer, West Runton, East Runton.

The chalet has French doors leading to a light and airy modern, open plan living space with seating for 4 including a 3 seater luxury sofa bed. Fully fitted kitchen containing everything needed to create your alfresco dining overlooking the spacious green. The bedroom contains two single beds, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Spacious shower room, with large shower tray with electric shower, hand basin, toilet and cabinet.

Extensive unspoilt communal outside space ideal for all ages.

Whether it's a walk on the beach with the dog, a possible crab in a bucket, a round of golf, a skate around the skate park, a swing on the swings, or afternoon tea, Mundesley has it all.

Our favourite walk with our dog along the beach often ends with a lovely coffee and cake at the corner house cafe or the beach cafe both of which dogs are very welcome. One of the reasons we brought a chalet in Mundesley is that there are parts of the beautiful sandy beach that dogs are still allowed on in high season.

“Very homely and comfortable. Great location.”

Reviewed 3 May 2019

Very pleasently surprised by how homely and comfortable the accommodation was. Upon opening the door we knew we had made a good choice. We were welcomed by a text to make sure everything was ok. There was even tea and coffee in the cupboard and milk in the fridge. Just a short walk away was the beautiful long beach where our dog enjoyed himself greatly. The village is small ,quaint and quiet, perfect for us. Whilst the chalet is dog friendly with even its own dog bowls and toys, you would never know that dogs had been there. It was very clean with no hint of a doggie smell. As a guide to how nice it was, the only criticism I could make was when we tried to cut a loaf of bread we could find a whole array of different knives apart from a bread knife. Most definitely will be returning.

Owner's reply: I am pleased you enjoyed CaribbCay Chalet and I will ensure there is a bread knife for your next visit

“Clean, comfortable, well equipped chalet”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2018

We stayed for a week at CarribCay Chalet. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped down to the last detail. It was on a lovely site within walking distance of the village and beach. We enjoyed exploring the area, and hope to return again next year.

Owner's reply: I am pleased you see you enjoyed your stay at CaribbCay chalet and hope the weather was not too unkind to you and pleased you got to explore the area which is lovely. Thank you for looking after my holiday home and I look forward to hearing from you again in future. Best wishes Jane

“Cute little home from home”

Like the Tardis. Small on the outside but surprisingly spacious on the inside. Kitchen's got everything to cook a full meal, the shower is large and dogs catered for (throws, bowl etc). All modern and up to date. Good base for visiting Wells and Holkham which have fantastic beaches, perfect for energetic dogs. Recommended.

Owner's reply: Glad you enjoyed your stay again at CaribbCay

“Very relaxing stay in a lovely chalet on a quiet park”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2015

This was the second time we stayed at Carribcay. We came back after we stayed the previous year. The chalet is kitted out with everything you need so you don't have to cart all your own belongings along. We took our own bedding but there is an option to have this supplied at a small additional cost. There is an electricity meter that takes £1 coins and we roughly put about a pound a day into it. The chalet is clean, tidy and well presented and is obviously looked after and loved by the owners. The site is quiet which suits us and is literally 2 minutes walk from a local Tesco and 10 minutes walk away from the sea front. We love Mundesley because it has everything you need, a grocers, a post office, take aways and even a bus service to Norwich and great walks and views. We have already booked to go back next year we love it so much... Thankyou for making our break so relaxing and enjoyable

Owner's reply: Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience of staying at CaribbCay and I look forward to hearing from you again in future. Kind regards Jane

“Lovely to be back!”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2015

Our second holiday in this lovely chalet. Myself, 3 kids (15, 12 and 7) and our small dog. We had a wonderful time. Jane was so helpful with our booking and the details she sends are very clear. The chalet is fabulous. Clean, fresh, very comfortable and cosy and suits us perfectly. Lots of hot water in the big shower, a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need and even lovely furniture for sitting outside in the sunshine. And, yes! We had sunshine too. Mundesley is one of my favourite places with a gorgeous beach that is dog friendly away from the centre, great cafes and shops and so many lovely places nearby to visit. A really easy break. (Tried the Chinese takeaway this time and it was delicious.) Thanks Jane for letting us stay again (and for so kindly returning the book my daughter left). We can't wait till next time!

Owner's reply: Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience of CaribbCay. I am please you enjoyed your stay. Kind regards Jane

“Very nicely presented chalet in lovely peaceful spot”

Reviewed 11 May 2015

This was our second stay in Caribcay and again we were impressed with the standard of accommodation. The chalet is very clean and tidy with nice touches such as bunting and bright bathroom accessories. It really adds to the holiday when your accommodation is so nice.

Owner's reply: I am glad you enjoyed your stay at CaribbCay again

“Home from Home experience, it was like staying at a friends chalet”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2014

Lovely chalet with modern Kitchen, Bathroom and furniture. Found the chalet very warm and cosey and light and airy with modern wood effect venetian blinds, Chalet was DOG FRIENDLY too. Unlike modern caravans we never felt cold and had no condensation that you would experience in a static at this time of year. All the mod cons and electricity was very reasonable i only used about £5.00 for whole week which suprised me. It was also nice to be able to use the vacuum cleaner as like most sites you always find grass finds its way in once its been cut. The owner had thought of every thing and well organised. The site is very quiet and well looked after by the site staff who made us feel really welcome. Thankyou for a lovey time Andrew Lord

Owner's reply: Hi I am glad you enjoyed your stay at CaribbCay Best wishes Jane
