Location description from owner

The England region

Untouched by mass tourism, a real survivor of Daphne Du Maurier's 'Vanishing Cornwall'. The coastline is truly magnificent, with small sandy swimming/surfing coves and rugged cliffs adorned with wonderful rare plants and flowers, making excellent walking country.

Mullion Cove Whether you're in search of a cliff-top ramble, a picnic on the beach, or the chance to see some remarkable wildlife, The Lizard is a perfect destination. Trenance is a relaxing retreat and the perfect base for exploring the unique and magical Lizard Peninsula.

Mullion

The Lizard peninsula is Cornwall's most southerly point and its geology, landscape and flora are very special too. The breath taking scenery makes it an ideal holiday destination for families and experienced travellers alike. Nowhere else in Cornwall has such a density of nationally recognised Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) or regionally important County Geology Sites (formerly known as RIGS). The main reason for this is that the rocks of the Lizard are different from the rest of Cornwall. As for array of small beaches along the coast, you will be spoilt for choice. The Lizard Peninsular is excellent walking country with many walks from Trenance.

“Peaceful time”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

Clean and tidy holiday cottage, slightly showing its age but comfy and homely. Nice open air pool, not heated but good on a hot day,Separate area for washing machines (would have been nice to have in the cottage but would take up space) and dryers. Quite compact, as there are about 11 cottages in total. But not a problem(we had friends staying opposite ) Games rooms and lovely cliff walks . Next to chocolate factory and crafts area, good for a rainy hour! All in all recommended to all for a quiet holiday

“As good as ever”

Rented a cottage here for a week for last ten years. Always good as they decorate and update each cottage every year. Excellent location and the heated swiiming pool and Games Rooms are superb.

“What a find!”

A warm welcome. Clean and comfortable cottage with the added bonus of milk in the fridge and a tea tray ready. The sheltered pool was warm. It is closed at 6 p.m., ensuring peace for all guests. Lovely location within yards of the stunning south west coastal path. We have already told friends about this find and look forward to returning.

“This property met all my requirements”

trenance farm was everything I expected.Homely, cosy and just right for me and my dog. The owners are more than welcomeing and it is good to know they are there to help should anything go wrong.

“Spacious but needs a little tlc.”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2013

Having stayed on this site of converted farm buildings twice before and enjoyed every holiday, we went for Sty Cottage as it was larger and spacious. The only thing wrong really was that the cottage was in need of refurbishment. The furniture all looked very tired and needed replacing. We would certainly stay at the site again as it is very peaceful and the owners are on site if any problems occur, but in a different cottage.

Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated. Trenance is indeed a peaceful site, surrounded by the beautiful coastline. Regarding the furniture, the Sty cottage has a mixture of brand new pieces, such as the sofas, and older pieces – the antique furniture in the master bedroom gives a sense of calm to the room, and we and others find it most attractive. In addition, the sitting room & hallway had a lick of paint this winter, ready for our 2013 season.
