BEAUTIFUL SEA VIEWS.

Our two bedroom apartment at Beacon Hill sleeps 4, has wonderful sea views and is set in well-tended tropical gardens, just a few steps from famous Mullins beach. Beacon Hill is a small gated community, with an inviting, shared pool and jacuzzi adjacent to the apartment building. The pool is shared with just 5 other apartments and is never busy. There are loungers provided for sun worshipers and a shady retreat under the gazebo for escaping the midday heat. The apartment itself is very well appointed with two double aspect bedrooms, a stylish kitchen and comfortable living room. There are wonderful views from the terrace.

The bright and spacious living room is beautifully furnished with comfortable rattan sofas and plush cushions. The living room is decorated with modern artwork. The large terrace is open on two sides, making it feel particularly spacious. Tropical plants from the gardens below create the foreground for a wonderful view of the ocean at Mullins Bay beyond. The kitchen is modern and clean and fully equipped with everything you could need for your stay - right down to the espresso machine! There's a huge American-style fridge/freezer for the local beers and ice cream, a full oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher. There are laundry facilities too.

The main bedroom is a dual aspect room with a wonderful, high ceiling and the convenience of a modern en-suite shower room. The room is fully air conditioned and features a (really comfortable) king-size double bed. There is a dressing table and plenty of wardrobe space. A hairdryer is provided. The second bedroom is a dual aspect room with views to the ocean side of the apartment. The room has twin beds, is fully air conditioned and has plenty of wardrobe space. The family bathroom is adjacent although not en-suite.

Mullins beach is just a stroll away with sun beds available to rent; excellent for swimming, water sports and long walks before breakfast. Here you will find the Royal Westmoreland Beach Club Bar and Restaurant where you have free access and will be entitled to a 10% discount on food and drink. Beach Club membership excludes use of the Royal Westmoreland sun beds but these can be rented on a day basis or there are other beds available to rent along the beach. Show your Beach Club membership card for a 40% discount on visitor green fees at Royal Westmoreland Golf Club.

Alternatively, try Bombas Beach Bar, a short stroll north of the beach for some of the tastiest food around with great sea views. Holetown is just 10 minutes by car to the south and has many fine restaurants, a supermarket and the Limegrove shopping complex. Speightstown is just 5 minutes to the north and also has a supermarket, banks, bars and restaurants.

“Just Beautiful, I wish it was mine!!”

This is the second time I have stayed at Ocean View and it's just perfect. The apartment is immaculate and is extremely well equipped, has wifi and also a docking station/speakers for your i-pod. I fell in love with the bed in the main bedroom, it was probably the most comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The balcony overlooks Mullins Beach and the pool area and gardens are just beautiful and extremely well maintained. Groceries were arranged for our arrival and an excellent taxi service was provided from the airport which we continued to use during the holiday. Sadly Mullins restaurant was closed whilst we were there but we then found Bombas, which provided perhaps an even better alternative and is an experience not to be missed! After all it's not often you get to have lunch and see the baby turtles feeding just off shore! I would love to keep Ocean View a secret and not share it with anyone but sadly it's not mine to keep. In short, I didn't want to leave Ocean View or Barbados, the whole experience was just perfect.

“Just perfect”

Really I want to keep this place a secret so that I can guarantee a slot for me in the future but we had such a great time that we had to let others know. I don't know about you but we always check the comments before we book online. Let me tell you that this apartment is immaculate, well equipped, has a fantastic view (the clue is in the title), and the service from the support team was first class. Nice touches such as having someone do your grocery shopping for you on your first day ready for you when you arrive really makes a difference. Plus things like beach towels meant we did not have to carry so much with us, and the wifi meant we could keep in touch. The pool was great to relax in as well, and the location is perfect on the island with very easy 2 minute walk from door to beach. We would have no hesitation in booking again, neither should you. We really could not have asked for more.

“Comfortable tropical villa by the beach”

When not at the beautiful beach or quiet pool, we spent time relaxing on the veranda surrounded by palm trees, flowers, and birds with a sparkling view of the ocean. Wi-fi was available in and outdoors. The fridge ice crusher was very handy for our teenagers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Trustworthy, friendly staff, who were generous and caring about our needs and expectations. A quiet location with pride of place and surroundings. Sunshine, warmth, and many opportunities for swimming in the sea, dining nearby, fitness club, and grocery shopping. Easy access by bus, taxi or car to Speightstown, Holetown and Bridgetown.

“Outstanding location!”

When Benny said we would be "bang on the beach" at Mullins Beach he wasn't exaggerating! The beach access gate (which is locked, you use a code to unlock) opens right at the side of the road. Cross the street & you are on the stairs at Mullins Beach! When the beach got busy and we didn't want to deal with the "hawkers", we retreated to the very nice pool and hot tub on the property. One afternoon while swimming at the pool, my daughter and I watched a green monkey come by scouting for bananas. The apartment is clean and bright. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve our meals. The washer and dryer were very convenient. Brenda came 3 days during the week to clean and change bedding. Very friendly and did a wonderful job. The dining room table on the balcony was wonderful for our evening meal as we listened to the ocean waves and looked out over the Caribbean. Each bedroom was large with ample storage space. I appreciated the glass windows and air conditioning throughout the apartment. Angela met us upon arrival to show us through the apartment, to the pool and beach and give us the remote control for the driveway gate. She also stopped by a couple of other times during the week to make sure we had everything we needed or if there were any problems. Benny, the owner, was great! Prior to our arrival he sent me an email full of things to do with websites and phone numbers. He included some fun facts of the Island too. My whole family loved the apartment and location and hope to go back again!

“Absolutely lovely, beautiful place, location, and view”

We spent a long time deciding where to stay in Barbados and looked at loads of different hotels and apartments. After much consideration we took decided to rent an apartment independently. The site had great photos but these can sometimes be misleading. In this case they didn't even do it justice. It was such a beautiful apartment with one of the best views available. Only a stone throws from the easily the best beach in Barbados - Mullins bay, quiet and safe. The cleaner and house manager were lovely and so helpful. This place will easily beat any other hotel in a similar price range, it felt like luxury.

“Fabulous in every way”

We are absolutely delighted to have been lucky enough to find Ocean View. It was perfect in every way. The apartment is fitted with impeccable taste, with neutral yet warm and comfortable furniture. The layout is generous and comfortable, the bedrooms are a perfect size, the kitchen has every pan, gadget and implement you might need, the living room is handsome and very comfortable and the best thing of all is the terrace with beautiful sea views fringed with palm leaves. We didn't get to meet the owners as they were away, but we were incredibly impressed by their attention to detail and their generous help in giving us all the possible (and very useful) information about the island. Ann, who is the property manager, is a lovely and charming lady who helped us in anything we needed - she got the shopping ready waiting for us on arrival, advised us on hidden gems of the island, and once we got locked out appeared in few minutes with a smile - thank you Ann! It was great having both Anna and Brenda at hand to help us and also to give us information about the island which is impossible to get from a book or the internet. We were also very happy with the location - quiet and exclusive but at the same time with every amenity you might wish for. We found Mullins beach a bit too busy after a couple of days (which didn't stop us from trying out various water sports during the first days of our stay!), but this was no problem at all since all it took was a 5 min stroll on the beach and we were on the practically deserted Gibbs beach. So, if you prefer the hustle and bustle of a beach bar, you want to try out water skiing (amazing!) or you can't do without a chaise longue on the beach, go for Mullins (1 min) or if you prefer to lie on your beach towel and only hear the birds and the Caribbean sea it's Gibbs for you (5 mins). For the first half of our stay we hired a car which gave us the option to explore the island, but even when we didn't have it for the last couple of days, we found that the public buses were super fast, efficient and fun, as were the taxis. The Barbadians are extremely friendly and helpful people and beside the marvelous sea, amazing food and exciting activites, the people are the real charm of this magical place.
