Description

Whether your ideal holiday is energetic or restful Harbour Lodge (brand new, June 2012) is perfectly situated for either. Located quietly overlooking the harbour, the Lodge's comfortable interior and west facing deck might be all you need to relax and unwind. The lovely Avon Beach, with its view of the Isle of Wight, is adjacent to the Park and very popular for sunbathing, playing, fishing and swimming. There is a 32" LED TV and DVD player, internet access, full gas central heating and double glazing, so if you visit in the winter (my favourite time!) you can be cosy and occupied when you return from a walk on the beach or the Quay.

The twin beds are 2'6" beds.

Please ask for details if you have children under 5 years old. Please mention any allergies any members of your group might have.

In the winter months the bar will be open for limited hours and the outdoor pool will be closed.

Sandhills Holiday Park offers a friendly bar, with entertainment, a gym, outdoor heated pool, childrens play area, a small amusement area, free wi-fi and Sky TV. A stroll along the beach takes you to The Noisey Lobster cafe, shop ice cream parlour and The Fish and Chip Hut. Or wander towards the Quay to watch the frantic activity in and on the harbour, a favourite place for windsurfing and kayaking. If you aren't of a mind to join in, relax at the Inn or the cafe on the Quay. Our famous little ferry will take you to the beautiful Mudeford Sandbank, (where there is a very popular restaurant) and another from there to Christchurch Quay on the edge of the town. There is no need for the car to leave its parking spot beside the Lodge!

Getting around

For a day out on foot you can catch our famous ferry, featured in TV programs, to Mudeford Sandspit. From there you can catch our lovely little train that takes you along the harbour to Hengistbury Head Information center. There is a little ferry that can take you into Christchurch Quay, a short walk by the castle ruins, from Christchurch.

House rules

Children are welcome, but there are no facilities for babies or toddlers. Some guests have been happy to bring travel cots etc with them. Its a tight fit, but it has worked!

Some dogs are welcome, please check with me. Pets who do visit must not be left 'home alone' or cause any inconvenience to other residents, or their pets. No dogs may be allowed off-lead in the park, and you must pick up after them.

“Amazing Easter break”

Harbour lodge has a brilliant view . Everything spotless & very comfortable . Wish we could of stayed longer cant wait to return

Nice clean lodge with a lovely decking area over looking the beach and quay, with some lovely walks nearby. Nearby beach was very handy for walking the dogs and for a morning cup of tea or coffee.

Stayed at Harbour Lodge this week with my wife, 2 kids and a dog and had an amazing time. The Lodge is beautiful and in an amazing location, close to the harbour and Avon beach. The kids loved the onsite pool and Jennifer the owner was very helpful. Would definitely recommend it !

Having stayed at Mudeford a fair few times, Harbour Lodge was probably one of our best stays. With 3 boys, 6, 4 and 1, the owner Jennifer was very accomodating. The lodge is extremely cosy, a home from home, loved the small touches lettuce and herbs growing outside the door, canvas prints of Mudeford on the walls all for sale, loved the beach side decor. Great food at the Noisy Lobster, crabbing every morning, beautiful sunsets and great use of the pool. All in all a lovely practical easy place to stay with kids.

The lodge exceeded our expectations and it nis the perfect place from which to enjoy Mudeford and the wonderful beaches and harbour. The lodge was really cosy and well equipped - the owners have thought of everything so you have all the mod cons you could wish for. The water is yards away and there are lots of places to eat nearby. We would recommend this very highly as a place to stay and are sure that future guests will be equally impressed

Beautiful Lodge in a perfect location! All mod cons and extremely clean... Very comfy bed..Stunning Harbour views and wonderful amenities. Beach, Café, pub and shop all 2 mins walk... We have been coming down now to the site for over 25 years and this is one of our favourite plots.

The accommodation is fabulous first class. Obviously a brand new caravan/chalet home was full of natural day light. Bathrooms modern and spotless. Location fabulous perfect for families crab fishing galore on the quay and fabulous beeches all a 2 min walk.....no need to pile everyone in the car. Catch ferry to mudeford sands gorgeous beach huts. Go to the Nelson for the best thai food I've ever tasted. Swimming pool on site lovely and warm ...... The only down side is the poor entertainment in the club house didn't make the effort with the children at 6 o clock a couple of mums got together with colouring. The bingo rubbish it's over a very poor speaker played with 7 other parks....not family fun at all.
