A 16th century Oak staircase takes you up from the dining room to a large master bedroom with a sitting area, ensuite bathroom. Second bedroom has a double bed however we can put 2 double beds in here to accommodate a larger group and a family bathroom. On the Third floor there is another three spacious bedrooms and family bathroom. Play room- again we could put a bed in here to accommodate a larger group. Therefore we could accommodate about 16 people depending on the make up of the group i.e.: kids, babies etc.

We can also close part of the house off for smaller groups if required please contact us for pricing.

It is a large house which is perfect for large groups and families.

In the second bedroom there is a Simon Horn cot bed and also on the top floor there is another wooden cot bed for little people who are out of a cot but maybe not big enough for a bed yet. We can put sides onto these cots to turn them in traditional cots of required.

Outside there is a beautiful cottage garden , an orchard and large grassed area with a trampoline. The land then extends to a field which can be explored and great for family picnics. We have bikes and lots of outdoor games equipment, footballs, cricket, croquet, everything you need for a truly typical English country holiday.

We can also host Small country Weddings and Special occasions, we have done everything from Afternoon Tea parties ,elegant hen parties or Dinner parties for special events. Please contact us regarding the details for this. We can organise everything from catering to flowers and further accommodation.

14 guests can be accommodated in 6 double beds (two in one room) a single bed and then a couple of cot/day beds. We could arrange for camp beds if required to accommodate more people . Please ask me for details.

Location description from owner

The England region

Shropshire, maybe one of England's quiet counties but don't be deceived; there's still plenty to see and do. Shropshire has over 90 places to visit - historic houses and castles with beautiful gardens, the famous Ironbridge, museums and family attractions.

Shropshire has many traditional market towns including gourmet Ludlow and the county town of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury 30 minutes drive is almost surrounded by the River Severn and birthplace of Charles Darwin, is a medieval delight of black and white buildings. Bridgnorth and Ironbridge are both 10 minutes drive away.

Along with such monuments as the Acropolis, the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China, the spectacular Ironbridge Gorge has been classified as a World Heritage Site since 1986.The Gorge was awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO for the area's unique contribution to the birth of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century which had a worldwide impact.

300 years ago this was the world's technological hotspot where Abraham Darby I first perfected the use of coke to mass-produce iron. Entrepreneurs and Iron masters such as William Reynolds and John Wilkinson made good use of this wonder product. Wilkinson was even buried in an iron coffin!

The surviving built and natural environment with its museums, monuments and artefacts, including the world famous Iron Bridge of 1779, serve to remind us of this area's unique contribution to the history and development of industrialised society.

Much Wenlock

Much Wenlock : Sitting on the north tip of historic Wenlock Edge, Much Wenlock is a medieval market town that lies on the way to Bridgnorth from Ironbridge. It's now gaining celebrity status too with the Olympic mascot "Wenlock", being named after it, as it's the birthplace of the man who inspired Baron de Coubertain to re-launch the modern Olympic games that we know today.

Walk the Olympian Trail around the town starting at the Visitor Information Centre

Bridgnorth just 10 minutes away is full of quaint corners and picturesque alleyways and flights of steps. The ancient Cartway winds between High Town and the river and is lined with characterful old houses.

The High Street is dominated by the half-timbered Town Hall. A street market is held here every Friday and Saturday with local produce for sale. A Covered Market is open daily (except Sundays) opposite the Town Hall and a large 'flea market' takes place each Saturday off Whitburn Street. There are numerous antique and vintage shops to explore. As well as the usual chainstores (including Sainsbury's, Tesco and M&S Simply Food), the town possesses a remarkably large number of independent shops, which adds greatly to its character.

Iron bridge is also just 10 minutes away with beautiful restaurants and pubs set on the river.
