From the owner

Delightful cornish cottage with garden, and only a short walk to Mousehole village's idyllic harbour and beach. Nestled on the edge of the village, sleeping up to 4 guests this family friendly property really is a gem.

The geographical location allows easy access to the best of the far West. By car, being only 10 mins to Penzance, 20 mins to Lands end, the Minack, Portcurno and stunning Sennen beach and only 25 mins to St. Ives, Hayle and the mile long beach to Gwithian.

Muriels cottage is a lovely cottage perfectly situated being a short walk to Mousehole with it's amazing harbour and fantastic pubs and restaurants, and Paul village with the church and Kings Arms pub .

The property itself comprises of a secure garden to front which is overlooked by a conservatory, and small "morning coffee area" at the rear. Each makes the most of the morning and evening sun. Inside on the ground floor we have the conservatory, comfortable lounge at the front, and kitchen at the rear. Stairs lead to the 2 bedrooms with double room to front and full size bunk beds at the rear, the bathroom (with a shower over small bath tub) is on the same floor. Steep steps lead to the "getaway" room with it's day bed and views down the valley to the sea.

The property lends itself perfectly to cater for couples, family's (up to 4 individuals) and guests with pets.

**Although we are dog owners ourselves, we do charge a £30 per stay for guests with dogs, to fund an extra thorough post stay clean.

A very well supplied cottage, delightful, just up from the main village. Mousehole is extremely picturesque. Would recommend the Rockpool’s crab sandwiches and the Old Coastguard for dinner!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Karen (the owner) a message.

If Karen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
