You'll never forget your visit to Miss Trimble's Cottage!

Miss Trimble's Cottage is named after the first ever resident Elizabeth Trimble who lived here in the 1850's.

It's the wing of Dene Lodge House, a beautiful Victorian "Gentleman's residence" in the parish of Morwenstow. Just a few minutes from the Coast Path it is fabulously placed for exploring this stunning area. Endless walks and gorgeous beaches are all very close. So dogs are welcome to join you on your holidays.

The cottage is fully equipped and we live on site in case there is anything we haven't thought of that you need.

You have your own kitchen and bathroom as well as a beautiful bedroom and living room with open fire. The living room also has a comfortable sofa bed for extra guests. Due to the narrow and quite steep stairs it's not suitable for small children.

As well as the house you are welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens and relax in the Hobbit House!

We have recently installed a wood fired hot tub which guests are welcome to use for a £40 contribution to firewood each time the tub is heated. If you want to use it please let us know and we'll get it ready as it takes a few hours to fill and heat up!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Crispin (the owner) a message.

If Crispin (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
