Description from owner

Description

Hillcrest is a large 6 bedroom house positioned at the top of a hill with spectacular views over Woolacombe Bay. (It is the one in the middle of the photo). It is in an enviable setting being surrounded by National Trust Land, yet nestled within Mortehoe, a pretty little village heaped in history, and mentioned in the Domesday Book! The village is at the heart of an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the coastal walks will not fail to take your breath away.

The house, which has been recently updated to a very high standard, offers flexible accommodation as it can be split into three flats, each flat with its own bathroom, separate wc, living area and kitchen. An internal staircase links the flats, perfect for families who wish to spend time together yet also occasionally like to have the option of privacy some hours of the day. It comfortably sleeps 12, but with three cot beds and an additional little bed, under 2s can easily be accommodated as extras.

Mortehoe has all the amenities one would need on holiday - three fantastic pubs within less than a 5 minute walk, cream tea shops, a fish and chip shop, a post office, and a large supermarket only 20 minute drive away.

Woolacombe is only a short drive down the hill, and holds the 'England for Excellence Gold Award' for best family resort. Its three mile beach of golden sand has been voted one of the best in Britain. Surfing, horse riding and golf only add to the most stunning coastal walking the area has to offer. In between Morte Point and Baggy Point, the small beaches offer fantastic rock pooling for kids and adults of all ages.

“Great House great holiday”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2016

Superb house well furnished with all the equipment you could wish for. Spotlessly cleaned on our arrival. Maintenance staff very helpful. Views over the bay fantastic. There was nothing I could fault this property with.

Thank you so much for your kind words so glad you enjoyed your stay!
