'Mountain View House’ or 'Casa De Vista De Montanha' is a beautiful villa surrounded by eucalyptus trees, clean air and amazing views.

With tranquil settings it is situated in a small village called Barracão near the town of Mortágua in Central Portugal.

This spacious villa is perfect for any family or group of friends to relax, have fun and enjoy.

With an amazing Infinity pool which overlooks miles of landscape and mountain view, this holiday home truly is breath-taking

The space

1 hour 30 minutes drive from Porto and 2 hours 30 minutes from Lisbon.

This spacious home has 3 main bedrooms, 2 indoor bathrooms (+1 outdoor bathroom), an upstairs lounge with dining table and pull-out bed couch (4th bed), a large dining room/ downstairs lounge, a utility/ laundry room, and a large kitchen.

Outside there is a Patio, 2 x bay Parking, a Courtyard with brick built BBQ, Decorative garden with home grown vegetables, leading onto an amazing Infinity pool which overlooks miles of landscape and mountain view.

All bedrooms have large double beds with wardrobes and bedside drawers.

There is plenty of towels and bed linen for each bedroom, (with additional linen and towels supplied if the 4th bed is needed).

1st indoor bathroom has shower, toilet, drawers and large vanity mirror. (There is also a hairdryer and hair straighteners there for your convenience.)

Whilst 2nd indoor bathroom has fixed shower fitting inset in a relaxing candle-lit bath.

The 3rd bathroom is outside next to the infinity pool and has a shower and toilet.

The lounge speaks for itself, it is huge and has a 2 seater as well as a 3 seater leather sofa.

With a cosy log burner in the lounge for any slightly more chilly (or romantic) nights that also acts as central heating for the rest of the house.

Patio doors in the downstairs lounge also lead out to the lower level of the enclosed courtyard.

In the large open plan Kitchen we have plenty of cook-wear, cutlery and table-wear, a large fridge freezer, as well as a small breakfast bar and (most importantly) a local wine rack.

There are 2 indoor dining tables and 1 outdoor dining table on the patio (all 6 person tables).

From the enclosed Courtyard past the brick BBQ and the outdoor beer fridge you will enter the decorative private garden, herbs and vegetables to eat (as well as a few orange trees dotted around).

Leading onto the poolside area that has sun loungers, outdoor shower + bathroom and an amazing infinity pool.

The aroma of the Eucalyptus first thing in the morning is unique.

There is a very friendly bar a short walk from the house, which has friendly locals, good wines, local alcohols, foosball and pool table.

You are short drive away from some amazing points of interest;

Town of Luso, (home of the natural spring water of Portugal) : 8 minutes drive.

Buçaco Palace : 10 minutes drive

Waterfall in village of Paredes : 10 minutes drive

Aveiro ( aka little Venice) with canals & gondolas : 50 minutes drive.

Figueira De Foz Beach : 45 minutes drive

Jet-Ski and Kayak : 25 minutes drive

Señora Do Ribeira (River Beach), man-made : 20 minutes drive.

Coimbra city : 45 minutes drive

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Maggie (the owner) a message.

If Maggie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
