“Good value, functional property in beautiful uncommercial coastal location with good local amenities.”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2016

For our budget this house served our purpose for 3 adults and 3 children aged 5,6 and 13. The kitchen/dining area was spacious for 5 people and the wifi, (very limited 3/4g in area) washing machine and dishwasher were put to good use. There are some toys which the children enjoyed searching through, but very few children's books. The towels and bedding were fresh and the beds quite comfy, the pillows however weren't that comfy (maybe just me being bit picky). The kitchen had most things needed although the pans were very old and worn and could do with replacing. Items missing that we noticed were a whisk, measuring jug and a peg-bag (for those who like me don't like to return home with a load of dirty washing). The area is beautiful and the house is perfectly positioned to visit the beach or take a stroll across the spectacular views across the golf course. On our stay we visited the local chippy which I wouldn't recommend. The Ty Coch Inn is very quaint and traditional and food looked lovely although regrettably we didn't get to eat there. We visited the local pub 'Y Bryncynan' twice where the food was good, as was the service with an extensive menu and catered well for children, with an excellent new outdoor play area. Do recommend booking as it was very busy. Overall the house was good value for money and served our purpose well. There was enough space for 6 of us. They is room for improvement for the general standard of cleanliness, it looked 'surface clean' but on closer inspection it was a bit mucky.

“Great location for touring North Wales & Anglesey”

Well equipped house. Loved the kitchen/diner, plenty of room. Nice touch providing washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. thank you. Found the door locks a little difficult.

“Great Location, Great Accomodation!”

I have just spent the bank holiday weekend at Haulwen house in Morfa Nefyn. I had spent a couple of summers in this area as a child and decided to go back with my family. We took a risk and brought two families thinking it would be a tight squeeze. It wasn't! The house sleeps 4 adults and 4 children comfortably. We spent the majority of our time at the beach (a short walk) outside Ty Coch Inn, enjoying the view, weather and cold beer, at night the children watched DVD's in the lounge while we played cards in the kitchen/diner. We have already made enquires for next year.

“Last minute perfection”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2013

We decided to book this very late for the Easter weekend and following week. We struck really lucky with house and the weather. It was our first visit to Morfa Nefyn and it really is a beautiful part of the world. The house is newly decorated with a beach theme throughout. It was spotless! It has all the basics needed for a family stay. It has a downstairs bathroom which came in really useful! Bedrooms were really comfortable. It is a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. From there you can walk over the 'pub beach' as we called it. Or if you feel like a bit more exercise, you can walk through the golf course for some spectacular scenery! We were very lucky to have beautiful weather. The house is handy for the shops - Londis is in nearby Nefyn, about a 5 minute drive or there is a local convenience store within a 5 minute walk. Would highly recommend a stay at this property.
