Location description from owner

The Valencian Country region

Moraira is within the Alicante Province of the Costa Blanca and has approximately 300 days of sunshine. The towns are awash with villas ideally situated between a coast with sandy beaches and rocky coves and the mountains of the Marina Alta. The region is steeped in history and has easy access to the cities of Alicante and Valencia, retaining a very Spanish atmosphere with many picturesque fishing villages, unspoilt coves and numerous places to visit. To experience mountain villages and the real Spain you only have to drive 20 minutes inland to the Jalon Valley and a further 20 minutes on to the waterfalls and castle at Guadalest. Benidorm is only 30 minutes by road, yet is a million miles away from the quiet town of Moraira and has numerous attractions of Terramitica, Mundoma, Aqualandia Water Park and the Vergel Safari Park, which are all excellent days out for children.

Moraira

Originally a small fishing village, Moraira has grown into a pretty, cosmopolitan town, retaining much of its original character and has to be experienced to appreciate its unique relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The local authority has exerted control over Moraira's development, which has resulted in mainly detached private villas on the surrounding hillsides with a few holiday apartments and no high rise hotels and buildings. Whilst it retains an unspoilt charm, Moraira has plenty to offer for all age groups, having an array of superb restaurants catering for any budget and taste and delightful cafes and bars providing tapas, and refreshments. The Menu of the day can provide excellent value for money and even today you can find a three-course meal with bread and wine included for less than 14 Euros.

Within Moraira there are three beaches which have been awarded an EEC Blue Flag for cleanliness. One of these is called El Portet, a fabulous beach with two bars/restaurants famous for excellent lunches is well worth a visit and is only a 10 minute drive from the villa. Moraira beach, which has its own beach cafe and children's play area, beach volley ball and pedalos is a 5 minute drive from the villa. All three beaches in Moraira slope gently into the Mediterranean Sea and are ideal for children of all ages. The beautiful marina provides an ideal sailing base and has a restaurant and cocktail bar, where you can sit and relax whilst watching the boats any time of day.Moraira has a small fun fair, especially suitable for young children, a great Go-Karting circuit for all ages, a tennis club, two crazy golf courses and three nightclubs. There is horse riding, jet ski-ing and a dive centre all within a 10 minute drive. There are some great golf courses in the area, the closest being Club de Golf Ifach, Moraira and is only a 2 minute drive away from the villa. There are four other golf courses within 35 km in Javea, Denia, Benidorm and Olivia.

Every Friday morning in Moraira, there is a market with stalls selling fruit and vegetables, clothes, leather bags and shoes, knick-knacks and jewellery. The local shops and night markets offer a really excellent choice of gifts, jewellery, leather handbags, shoes and clothes. There is a lovely walk from Villa El Impo to Moraira and the beaches, which takes approximately 30 minutes. The larger resorts of Benidorm, Calpe, Javea and Denia are all within a half hour drive.

“4th visit to this wonderful villa”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2016

My husband and I stayed for the 4th time at Villa Impo, and each time we come home, we are looking forward to the next visit!! I cannot praise it enough, from the ease of booking through the owner, Rosemary, to the cleanliness of the villa, thanks to the Housekeepers, Pete and Marg. The views from the villa are breathtaking, and the villa itself is very modern, with large living area and bedrooms, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. The outside areas, one by the pool, and another one the other side of the villa, have plenty of furniture for relaxation and outside dining. Our favourite restaurants, only about 5 minutes drive away, are Kathmandu, The Olive Tree, Kosta, and Casa Toni. There is also a good bar called 'Cascada' that we like. Thank you once again Rosemary, for a wonderful holiday - we will be back!!

“One in a million. Modern, Clean, views to die for.”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2015

Marg and Pete are the villas friendly meet and great couple who when arriving at the villa showed us around the amazing villa, it was everything we expected it to be and more. It was striking how clean it was and very well equipped in the kicked area. All the beds where freshly made with clean linen and the views from the master bedroom were magnificent. There was plenty of sun beds for every one to sun bathe around the pool with a comfortable area for those who wanted to be out of the sun. The only down side a week wasn't nearly long enough.

“Villa El Impo - Hard to Beat”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2015

Villa El Impo enjoys an amazing reputation and the consistent praise provided in all reviews meant our expectations were high. No problem - this villa lives up to its reputation easily and delivers. It is so easy to feel at home straight away, to relax and enjoy your holiday. It is spacious, practical, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners have put such thought and consideration into providing everything you could possibly need, and Pete and Marg maintain the high standards and were always on hand for advice or help. My family of 8 (6 months to 60) thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful "family reunion" sunny holiday week at the villa in June. Although we toured the area a little and spent time in Moraira, we mainly enjoyed time together at the villa - relaxing or playing around the lovely private pool and preparing and eating leisurely meals in the Naya. The many terraces and balconies provided quiet and private spaces when time out was required. All the other reviews tell you how it ticks all the boxes. You can believe them; it is hard to beat.

“Wonderful villa with fabulous views to the coast!”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2015

Wonderful villa with the most fabulous views over an fragrant orange grove to the coast - from the outset we knew this place was something special! Pete and Marg escorted us to the villa which was sparkly clean and guided us around, explaining how everything worked, which was a great help! They had placed some fresh produce in the fridge and the larder wias well stocked with cooking essentials. If we had any problems or needed advice during the course of our stay, they were always at the end of a phone to help. We were spoilt for choice on how to spend our days, either with activities, restaurants, days out, shopping - all the necessary information was made available, in a folder by Rosemary, or of course just chill out all day on the patio, by the pool and wait for those amazing sunsets!

“Superb”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2015

El Impo looked great online and it was even more stunning and impressive in real life. A beautifully designed, stylish and spacious villa. Furnished and fitted out tastefully, with loving care and incredible attention to detail. There were napkins, candles, water, a welcome pack, beach towels and shopping bags.... to name a few things. So evident the owners just want you to totally, totally, enjoy yourselves. Plenty of space if there are a few of you as the masterbedroom is a suite with a large bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, and terrace off the bedroom. There are several terraces around El Impo as well as a pool terrace. Can't wait to go back.

“Wow! What an amazing holiday in a very classy villa”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2013

Well where to start....? My family and I ( 7 adults all ages and 2 children ) all stayed at villa el impo for two luxurious weeks this summer and all had an amazing time. Before we even got to the villa the owners Rosemary and Ed were more than helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Every text, email and phone call was answered and replied to straight away. Pete met us at the airport and filled us in on local markets, sights and restaurants recommended. Moraira itself is Such a lovely town with lots of interesting shops and restaurants to visit and lots of clean safe beaches. The harbour area with all the fish and beautiful boats was very nice too. Pete, Marg and Jodi all looked after us all very well and were all really helpful. The villa itself was more than we could have hoped for and lived up to our expectations and we were all very impressed with the size and quality of the property and everything in it. Everything we needed was in the villa from hair dryers, to euro conversion plugs, to beach chairs, beach towels and cool boxes, books and jigsaws etc The boys were very pleased with the multiple fridges for their beer supplies!! Plus the table tennis tournament was great fun. All the balconies and outside spaces was very well furnished and well thought out. We had sun around the pool area practically all day long and had been known to still be sunbathing past 7pm. The views from the villa were second to none especially at night. The Naya BBQ area was excellent and we used it a lot. The villa had air con and ceiling fans which as it was very hot was very useful. We would all definately love to stay at this beautiful villa again very soon. Thanks for a very relaxing and memorable stay xxxxxxx

“If Carlsberg did villa holidays ,,, this would be the one they'd use!”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2013

Our stay was the first week in June 2013. From the initial meet and greet through to the end, the villa was just perfect in every way. Pete and Jodi couldn't have been more helpful (Marg was ill unfortunately and we wish her a speedy recovery). Their advice about the resort and where to eat was invaluable and we would advise anyone visiting the villa to read the reviews and recommendations in the guest book, they are most informative. The villa itself was pure luxury, with attention to detail in every room and the external spaces were so well thought out and planned. It became a bit of a joke with our party to try and spot a negative! We failed as there was nothing that Rosemary and Ed hadn't thought of to make it the most perfect relaxing holiday anyone could wish for. The views from the master bedroom were spectacular and especially at night when you can see the marina at Moraira beautifully illuminated. Can't wait to go back next year hopefully for a longer stay! Would definately recommend this exceptional villa.

“A fabulous villa ...I want to live here!”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2013

This is the most wonderful villa in a perfect setting. Everything has been thought of to make your holiday perfect. Plenty of space for everyone ( there were 6 of us) to relax and enjoy. We loved having our own terraces where we could sit peacefully ,and take in the view which by the way is stunning, and look at the stars at night. All bedrooms were lovely, but the master was wonderful! Dual aspect, with the most wonderful view to wake up to. The kitchen is very well equipped , so if you want to cook ,everything is there for you. There is nothing more that you could wish for, Rosemary and Ed have thought of it all, and they really do care that your holiday is everything it should be. If you book your holiday here you really will have the best holiday. It would be hard to top this!

“Perfection from start to finish”
