Villa La Barraca is located in the peaceful Moravit area of Moraira and is only a few minutes' walk from the local beach, restaurants and cafes. Other beaches and facilities are all within a further 10 minute walk. Due to the extremely spacious and versatile layout, the villa would ideally suit 2 families, golfing parties, family gatherings etc. but may be part let if required with 3 bedrooms as an alternative to six.

The accommodation is shared over two levels and comprises on each level of 3 bedrooms (1 with en suite on each floor) bathroom, kitchen, lounge and dining room and each level has its own separate entrance. This makes the property ideal when two families want to keep some level of independence whilst spending a joyful holiday together.

Air conditioning is available for all bedrooms that may need it (7 units, supplement charged) as well as central heating for winter stays. Equipped to a high standard and newly redecorated and improved throughout, many furnishings and fittings are renewed each season, helping to make your stay more comfortable and hassle free.

Whilst the lower floor is equipped with high quality antiques, the top floor has been completely redesigned, rebuilt and refurbished in April 2013 with contemporary, stylish furniture.

All beds, mattresses, pillows, duvets, sheets, towels, as well as appliances like flat TV, Washing machine, central heating, air conditioning, and dishwasher are brand new.

People who travel regularly to Moraira ends up coming back to la Barraca as they find it to be the best combination between privacy, distance to the beach, quality of the premises, Comfort of the house, quietness of the street (dead end street) and charm of the house. This is why la Barraca is one of the most booked house in the area every summer.

Downstairs, the living area is tastefully furnished in a contemporary style, with a white painted beamed ceiling. This room benefits from a cooling through breeze in summer and the large double doors open out to a shady covered Naya, which looks out over the pool and gardens. The upstairs living area has a modern archway and beamed ceiling. There are large comfortable sofas and there is a light and airy feel to the room.

The upstairs dining area has a beamed vaulted ceiling and a huge dining table for special meals or entertaining friends. This area is air conditioned if required but if your visit is in the winter then there is also a lovely open fireplace for roaring log fires. The 5 meters wide double glass doors in this room open onto another shaded Naya which has views over the pool and gardens and into the upper levels of the Palm trees. Here you can sit outside on balmy summer evenings, or breakfast in the early morning sunshine.

The kitchen has its own bar and has been designed in a minimalist contemporary style like the rest of the floor mid 2013.

The much larger than average plot of 1450m2 boasts its own Summer Kitchen, with a huge built-in barbecue. Here you can enjoy an evening drink at the bar while watching your meal being prepared. It has its own stereo, and even a sink to wash up afterwards or clean the fish from the daily catch... Large well stocked semi tropical gardens surround the villa and there are many shady areas where you can sit and relax. The very wide array of Mediterranean plants include Orange, Olive, Carobe, Lemon, Yukka, Bouganvillea and Pomegranate, not forgetting the avenue of mature Palm trees, which give an exotic feel to the poolside area.

The Valenciana region

Local Amenities include 3 large golf courses, gymnasium, tennis, football, squash, all water sports, boat hire and trips, horse-riding, go-kart racing track for both adults and children, a small fairground and three good night-clubs. The Terra Mitica theme park is approximately 25 minutes drive away. There are too many quality restaurants to list here, but currently there are around 6 Michelin recommended restaurants in the immediate area, with two of them being star rated - try the Olive Tree, just ten minutes walk from the Villa and you won't be disappointed!


Moraira: Moraira boasts beautiful gently sloping sandy and sheltered beaches, an exclusive marina, a superb selection of fine restaurants and bars, as well as many shops. Friday is market day, when a good selection of ceramics, leather goods, fruits flowers and vegetables of every description can be purchased. Fresh fish can be bought at the fish auction most mornings. L'andrago beach, which is just 3 minutes easy walk from the villa, boasts the popular Algas beach bar which is open during the day for coffee and snacks and transformed at night into a well lit and lively bar. El Portet beach - a five minute drive away - has good cafes, bars and restaurants and is very safe for small children.

La Baraka is a very classical refurbished villa with all amenities and modern confort. But the special thing is the very special atmosphere in the garden/courtyard with outstanding trees (Palm trees, Olive trees and wonderfull Bougainvilliers everywhere). Despite our late stay (end of October ) we were abble to use the swimming pool and to swim in the nearby (5mn walk ) sea.

"Tres bon rapport qualité prix, pas de surprises, excellent choix."

C'est la troisième fois que nous louons a Moraira et nous avons enfin trouvé une maison sans surprises. Grande propriété tres bien placée près de la très belle et agréable Cala del Andrago ou l'on peu facilement s'allonger sur les rochers et se baigner dans des eaux transparentes. La maison est a 1 ou 2 kms a peu près de la plage principale de Moraira qui elle est très bondée au mois d'aout. Nous avons préféré rester sur la Cala, beaucoup plus sympas, et ou la mer est splendide et facile d'acces. La maison est vraiment top. Le bar/bbq a son frigo, évier, tabourets. Coin super agréable pour passer des longues soirées. Aucun vis a vis, la maison donne sur un champ d'olivier. Vu mer depuis la terrasse du haut mais pas depuis la piscine. Grand parking, couvert pour deux voitures+parking extérieur pour encore une ou deux voitures. Tout l'electro ménager semble neuf et l'apart du haut est superbement rénové, type minimaliste contemporain, très chouette! Beaucoup d'espace, de lumière, de calme. 4 belles salle de bain plus une douche piscine extérieure rende le séjour a 12 tout a fait facile et agréable. Nous avons du changer les bonbonnes de gaz qui étaient toutes vide et Victoria est intervenue très rapidement. La caution nous a été reversée intégralement sans question deux jours après notre départ. On reviendra l'année prochaine!

"Excellent Villa with great facilities and location"

We stayed here in June 2011 taking over both floors of the villa, with 11 of us staying including two children under 5. The villa is so big and spacious that even with 11 people it never felt crowded. The villa is done to a very high standard and was spotless when we arrived, and the owners had even left some drinks in the fridge for us. All the bedrooms are a good size and really nicely decorated, and the a couple of the bathrooms have recently been renovated to a very high standard. The outdoor area is great with a really nice bar area, fridge and barbecue which we used almost every day. It gets the sun all day long but there are some really nice shaded areas too. Although there are villas nearby it feels very private and quiet. The pool is a really good size and suitable for the family with a good shallow end easy steps in for kids. The villa itself has large grounds, and there is even a roof terrace which is good for sunbathing and has some great sea views. It's in a great location with shops, supermarkets, cash machine and restaurants are only a 5 min walk from the villa. The centre of Moraira is less than a 5 minute drive away. Overall this is a great place to stay for a holiday with friends or family and is very good value for money.
