SUPERB ACCOMMODATION WITH FAR-REACHING VIEWS, CATERING CAN BE PROVIDED AT EXTRA CHARGE
This luxurious lodge was built in 2010. Set amongst 8 acres of fields and farmland, situated on the edge of the village of Moorlinch with far reaching views over the RSPB nature reserve and land of special scientific interest on the Somerset Levels. On a clear day you can see for miles around.
Moorlinch itself has a 12th century church and craft centre which offers pottery and glass blowing as well as a family pub serving good food. You will be well placed to explore the area including Glastonbury with its Tor and Abbey, Clarks retail village in Street, Cheddar Gorge and the Cathedral City of Wells. There are many National Trust properties in the locality or you can enjoy a walk over the Quantock Hills, all this within an hours drive. A little further out lie the historic City of Bath and Exmoor National Park. There are several sandy and dramatic coastal beaches to the north and south, such as Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Burnham-On-Sea. If all of this is too much, why not relax with a BBQ and a glass of wine, or take in the views from the covered balcony or the well placed decked patio. Leisure facilities: why not try self catering with a difference, take a short break or a week away and enjoy a continental breakfast each day with local ingredients waiting for you, the luxury of a local chef preparing your evening meal delivered to your door and traditional Sunday lunch in the nearby family pub all booked before you arrive (charges apply), perfect to celebrate a special occasion in style or a small get together. Pre booking required, please call the owner for further details.
This stunning accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: upstairs, 1 large double with flatscreen TV, covered balcony area with seating and far reaching countryside views and 1 small twin room (single bed with pull out, full size single bed under). On the ground floor are 2 further double bedrooms both with patio doors leading out onto the covered decked walk-way around the lodge, where you can sit and relax. Bathroom: situated on the ground floor, family-size with shower over bath, WC and heated towel rail. Shower room, situated on the first floor, large with walk in double shower, WC and heated towel rail. Lounge/kitchen/diner: large open-plan area with sofas, chairs, TV with surround-sound, DVD, iPod docking station and large dining table. Well-equipped kitchen with induction hob, double oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and many useful extras. Outside: to the front is an enclosed patio area with seating. To the rear is a seating area with BBQ. There is a small sandpit and small ride-on toys for children to use. Swing ball and Badminton available too. Behind the lodge are large lock up farm sheds which can be used for storing bicycles etc. Amenities: ample parking to the front and side of the lodge.
